Most of the time I create for others, this is the first project I've made for myself this year. This is the start of a day to night forest of rainbow trees. The patterns are by . I love her patterns, they are always well written and designed which makes them fun to make!

Of course, I had to make this with a Copper Moon to stay on brand. 😉

The new Tula Pink Fairy Dust in smoke was the perfect compliment to the cotton candy.

is here and I've already granted a couple wishes and shipped them! This is the best time of quilty year on Instagram. I'm looking forward to granting some more wishes.

My wish: I am looking for solid colored FQ(+/-). In particular, any collections of a single solid color/tone ombre! Pictures for reference.

Thank you for hosting a swap that brings so much joy to so many people. 💜

"Dragon Sunflower" by .

Beth made this phenomenal piece for the and I am honored that it was for me and I will display it proudly in my home.

I can feel the love, time and creative energy that was put into this mini. The counted cross stitch dragon pattern has nearly 20,000 stitches! Then all the details on the sunflower (the coloring based on a sunflower that she grew--who knew they used to come in more colors than yellow!?) The purple topstitch and the Bumble bees in the quilting are the perfect fit.

There were some amazing extras she sent including two hedgehogs made from yarn from her own alpacas. Which my children have already claimed. She also wrote me a note that brought tears to my eyes and found some art by one of my favorite artists.

Thank you Beth. This piece and your thoughtfulness mean the world to me. This is why I do swaps.

My make for the ! The pattern is called Red and the Wolf. This was an absolute delight to make, because it was fun to put together and the results are striking! The simple quilting outlining the trees with the addition of the moon I thought highlighted the simplicity, but added another dimension. I must say I am over the moon with this piece and want to make another for myself.

Happy Autumn everyone, looking forward to creating something for the Winter Solstice next.

Thank you to for the black batting!!! You are awesome. 💜

Hello? It's me, the Raven of the night, guided by the silver Wolf, under the watchful eye of the full Moon....

This is my final check in for the . Off to my partner today, let me say this was a hard project to say goodbye to because I loved it so much. I will be making myself one as well.

Raven was made by my incredibly talented sister .hookers. Their pondering eyes just seemed the perfect extra for the Autumn themed mini.

NOT MY WORK.

This fantastic piece is made by for the . Absolutely perfectly fitting for the whole family, when my husband saw it he said "Well that belongs here". I love the fussy cutting that unravelledhemdesigns did for the tall tale block it's just adorable.

She also spoiled me with extras including a beautiful piece of metallic octopus fabric and some fun labels! You can never have too many labels, right? And the tricolored chalk pencil, I'm excited to use it on my next project! Thank you for making me such a stunning mini!

This is the mini I made for my partner. I was so inspired by request to bring Summer inside! With a sleeping kitty on the open window, a touch of the garden indoors, and a cheeky bird watching it all, I believe I ticked all her likes. This was my first time using batiks, and the blue is linen to give that texture of a summer sky. I'm proud of this piece and am glad my partner loves it as well.

The bird, watering can and kitty are all patterns that I combined. The rest was designed by me.

This is the first piece with my new custom patches, I thought they were so much fun and something different than making tags. Also, my first time making a scrappy binding, and I'm glad I did! Fits the summer fun of the piece perfectly.

First check-in for the ! I'm excited for this project, I've decided to combine these three patterns to create my partner a personalized fantasy book scene. The fabric pull is only a small portion of the two dozen plus fabrics that are going to go into this, I'll keep pulling more colors as the pieces continue to come together.

Thanks for running a great swap and , also props to for guiding our chat group.

Inspiration post for , these are not my work.

This has been my hardest mosaic to put together for a swap. How do you sum up the importance of books and the variety that I read? I took the idea from to post a few of my bookcases to start. In total I have six bookcases in my house. Three are devoted to the books I read with my children, one is full of my quilting books on patterns/the history of the art/quilts of different time periods, etc., one has all of my fat quarters, one all of my yardage, and the last has my books (plus the two extra bookshelves that are still at my parents house but shhh...)

I love the image of old style books stacked and tried to show that in this mosaic.

I'm extremely guilty of saying "just one more chapter" until they are all gone and the birds are starting to chirp outside.

I also love bright colorful rainbow quilts as they bring me joy. The star just felt fitting to the theme and would look amazing on a tote bag!

The piece of art I was given by my sister and says "What I make with my hands, I give with my heart". I feel like this is the core truth for many quilters including myself. We quilt for the love of bringing joy to others.

Partner, have fun. I would love a tote as I rarely make bags, but I'm also a collector of minis from swaps and love to hang them on my walls and tell the story behind how they came to be here.
