We were absolutely blessed when our store, The Sewing Studio, was open to have some of the best customers in the world. One of them was JoAnn Bryant. She passed away a few months ago from a rare inoperable cancer but before she went she entrusted me to finish two of her unfinished quilt projects for her family. I think she would be delighted with how this turned out. I digitized the chickens years back and we did this as an embroidery BOM in the store.

I've had a busy last few days. We got home Saturday from our Holden Beach 2021 Sewing Retreat with a full trailer of stuff. Got it all unloaded, unpacked, and put away and then reloaded the trailer with yard sale things. I have 10 new bolts of tonal 108" fabric. Colors are bright green, red, grey, dark brown, black, mint, turquoise, dark red, royal blue, and brown. Call for appointment if you want to see fabric. 10 a yard.

Yard sale tomorrow. Rae and I have unloaded the trailer for tomorrow mornings yard sale. Just got to take lids off and set out on tables. Fabric at 2 and up. 108 inch for quilt backs at 10 a yard. Patterns galore and thread. At 1050 Eggleston Falls Rd Ridgeway VA. Starts at 8.

I’ve got “My Carona” quilted. Started it in 2020, finished putting borders on at our Holden Beach retreat. I’ve just got to add a sleeve for hanging so I can send it to quilt show maybe next year when they open back up and bind it and make a label. Home stretch.

How sweet is this little Northwood gnomes design from Embroidery Library. I started this for the craft show at Bassett and then wasn't able to attend . It's a girls size 8. Would be a cute Easter dress. 100% cotton, lined bodice, machine embroidered around the hem area, zipper closure in back. Machine washable.

I finished another antique quilt top for a customer. Her great grandmother pieced the center section with shirtings and feed sacks. It was only 30” wide so I stitched muslin to both long edges to make it longer and quilted it with a pattern named “Steam Punk”.
