Ayers Furniture is a second-generation, family-owned furniture store which has been a fixture in the small community of Ridgeway, Wisconsin since it was founded in 1940 by Bill Ayers. Bill was joined in the business by his brother Roy Ayers after Roy returned from serving in WWII. There have been a lot of changes over the years. What started as a hardware store, it evolved to become an appliance a

nd furniture store (which also offered flooring and siding), now focusing solely on heirloom quality, custom furniture. Here's something most people don't think about until it's too late: barstool height actually has a formula. 🪑

For a comfortable seat, you want about 9 to 13 inches between the top of your stool and the underside of your counter or island. Counter height surfaces (36") need a counter stool. Bar height surfaces (42") need a bar stool. They're not interchangeable!

Save this before you shop so you don't end up with stools that don't fit. 📐
