Hope everyone had a great summer! We got some samples of Finnish Kuksas with the purpose of replicating them in our shop. Kuksa is a traditional cup/bowl in Finland used for food and beverage either cold or hot. Kuksa is curved out of a solid piece of wood and treated with food grade oils and bees wax. Drinking out of a Kuksa is very unique and satisfying experience. We wood like to offer few Kuksas and other curvings for sale. Please contact us for questions and pricing

Happy Summer! We want to share our latest project, today we completed our first picnic table. We made it 8ft long with cedar top and benches and pressure treated wood frame. Came out nice. Next project is the most comfortable Adirondack chairs, we already received the templates. Stay turned :)

This month we learned a new word SASSAFRAS. Pardon our ESL origin, but we never heard this word before. It's a tree. It's not considered exotic, but it's rarely used in woodworking. According to Wikipedia, parts of sassafras plants, including roots, stems, twig leaves, bark, flowers, and fruit, have been used for culinary, medicinal, and aromatic purposes. In fact, it's traditionally been used for making root beer. While working with sassafras, we noticed a unique fragrance. The other unique feature of the tree is the sap that is bright orange and the grains are curly and beautiful. Take a look at what our encounter with sassafras revealed. We preserved the bark and the sap on one side. This is a coffee table available for purchase

Dear supporters! Welcome to our page . In the first post we want to offer free cedar shaving bags to everyone who can pick them up from our front lawn in Ridgewood. These bags are great to keep your closets fresh or to put in your pets beds. Smaller ones can be used for shoes. We can offer 2 large or 6 small bags for free, if you need more, we are asking $1 per large bag just to cover the cost of the bag. DM us to schedule a pickup.
