We’ve officially entered cozy season, so what better time to share this den from a renovation we recently completed.

Set on the garden side of the home, we opened up the back wall to create a natural flow for entertaining, both indoors and out. The new two-story patio and balcony have become a welcome extension of the home, with a chimney spanning both levels—offering cozy fireside evenings from the bar below or the primary suite above.

A thoughtful addition that completely transformed the way these spaces connect and are enjoyed throughout the seasons. 🤎

Bogey here is the ⭐️, and don’t let anyone tell you otherwise! Mudrooms are the most versatile rooms in the home - you never know what’s behind door number one or drawer number five. Just how I like it. I posted this drawing of a mudroom broom closet on stories and turns out I’m not the only one obsessed with organizing cleaning supplies. Let’s start a club. Take inventory of your mudroom needs before building and nothing will make you happier than putting away your vacuum in its designated spot. Bogey agrees. 🐾🤎

The magic of custom details is truly unmatched. They allow us to create spaces that feel effortlessly cohesive, with every stain, finish, tone, and proportion thoughtfully considered.

Custom furniture and cabinetry are at the heart of what we do, not only because they’re designed specifically for the space, but because they’re designed for the people who live in it.

In this family room, we maximized comfortable seating, incorporated plenty of storage, and created a dedicated space for family (or ladies!) game nights.

Now all that’s left is for me to finally learn mahjong. 💚

Thoughtful kitchen designs reveal themselves in the most unexpected ways. Beyond the highest function standards, we heavily depend on the touches that bring the space to life. And then comes the point when words don’t matter because the design speaks for itself. This kitchen will always be one of my favorites.

Some photos of a recently completed home. Significant millwork updates amongst others make this property so unique and truly spectacular. These clients were such a joy to work with from beginning to end, making the process seamless but also making my heart full. Sad to leave them, but happy to leave them with a beautiful home for their beautiful family. 🤍

We as designers bring so much more to a project than making things pretty. Granted, we do that well too, but what’s most exciting is our problem solving ideas on how to make homes flow and function optimally. Scroll to the end where you’ll see the original location of the kitchen in this 100 year old home situated in the middle with only one small window wall as well as the original family room.

We suggested moving the kitchen to the furthest point of the house (the original family room), creating an opportunity for not only more natural light and a larger footprint, but a dining patio as well as a new mudroom.

Could we have made it work with the original layout? Certainly. But when you’re making changes, consider those providing significant added value to your home and every day life!
