It is always an honor to partner with Habitat for Humanity in the Roanoke Valley and the amazing work they do for our community.
Today's sponsor spotlight is landing squarely on Ideal Cabinets Design Studio of Roanoke — a longtime local company that is once again stepping up as a proud sponsor of the WSLS 10 Home for Good!
And when Ideal Cabinets Design Studio says they’re supporting this project, they don’t just put their name on a sponsor list. They roll up their sleeves, spend time with our homebuyer, listen to what the family needs, and help select and design the cabinetry that will make this house truly feel like HOME. This year, Ideal is once again providing cabinetry and countertops to help create beautiful, functional spaces for the family who will soon walk through that front door and call it their own.
That commitment means even more when you realize just how long Ideal Cabinets has been helping families create places to call home. The company was founded in Christiansburg in 1970 by Ken Rakes, who started the business with a simple goal: take care of his family by providing quality cabinetry to other families. More than 50 years later, Ideal remains family-owned and operated, with design studios serving Roanoke, the New River Valley and Charlottesville. Their Roanoke Design Studio continues that tradition right here in our community.
And giving back is clearly part of their DNA.
Ideal says this is the seventh WSLS Home for Good house they’ve had the opportunity to be part of. Their team has done far more than supply cabinets over the years — they’ve joined wall raisings, volunteered on-site, hung drywall, attended dedications and stood beside families as the keys to a new home were finally placed in their hands.
That makes them a perfect partner for Home for Good.
Now in its 12th build, WSLS Home for Good brings WSLS 10, Habitat for Humanity in the Roanoke Valley, local sponsors and volunteers together around one incredibly important goal: helping a local family achieve safe, stable homeownership.
Cabinets may be what Ideal builds every day — but through Home for Good, they’re helping build something much bigger: stability, opportunity, memories and a place where a family can put down roots.
We are so grateful to have Ideal Cabinets Design Studio of Roanoke back beside us for another Home for Good, sharing their talent, their products, their time and their heart with this project.
Thank you 1,000x!
