New work done with new methods. Walnut and cherry blocks stairstepped around the body of the shell with maple rims. It has been in progress for about 6 weeks, which is 3 times longer than the usual time to make a complete large drum and stand. I still move a bit slowly. I will show progress pictures as the progress comes.

I have started chemotherapy for lymphoma so my work will be slowed down for a while. The worst is already past with first treatment done. Results were excellent. I have work in progress that I will show as it gets completed. Here is a gourd done in 2015. Painted by my wife Carol.

I will proudly be displaying this drum at my booth at Southern Equine Expo in Feb. (it will also be for sale). I use drums similar to this when leading my Body, Mind, Equine Retreats. They are made by master drum maker Bob Lawson and painted by Carol Lawson of MAWG Drums of Robbinsville, NC.
