📣 Bartlettyarns — A Business Decision
After careful consideration, we have made the decision to close our Bartlett’s on North Main retail storefront due to a significant and unsustainable commercial rent increase.
Like many small manufacturers and retailers, we make decisions grounded in long-term sustainability. Our priority has always been our customers, and passing along excessive overhead costs is simply not what Bartlettyarns is about. The proposed lease terms did not align with that commitment or with responsible business practice.
Let us be clear:
Bartlettyarns is not going out of business.
The mill is operating.
The wool is spinning.
The work continues.
Our mill store remains open, and our full line of products is available at:
We will also be attending:
📍 Boston Public Market – March
📍 The Gore Place, Waltham, MA – April
📍 NH Sheep & Wool Festival – May
We’re proud to share that Lindsey will be a featured speaker in New York City this March, and Susan has several new patterns currently in development. New designs and opportunities are emerging daily.
If you have a gift certificate from Bartlett’s on North Main, it will absolutely be honored at our mill store and at any show where we vend.
Bartlettyarns has been in business for 206 years — and we are still thriving.
A storefront may change. Heritage does not.
We appreciate your continued support and look forward to seeing you at the mill and on the road.
Warmly,
Susan
