Just a little something to make your spring projects more fun! 🐰

I’ve partnered with Crochet.com to create yarn bundles for my Easter Bunny Garland - so you can skip the trip to the store and get a bundle of all the yarn you need to make multiple bunny garlands delivered right to your door! You can choose from 3 curated color palettes: Brights, Neutrals, and Pastel.

Head to Crochet.com and check out the yarn bundles menu to browse the options or just click the link in my bio! The bundles are currently on sale for less than $20 each - that’s 6 skeins of yarn for under 20 bucks!

3 ways to crochet a hat brim! 🧶 I tested a couple of brim options for my Hearthstone Beanie (free pattern linked in bio) and they all looked so good, I thought they deserved a spot on my feed, if only in tutorial form. So here are 3 of my favorite ways to crochet a hat brim: 1) BLO- sl st, 2) Hdc in 3rd loop, and 3) BLO-sc. Which one do you like? Did I miss a good one?

It’s March! ☘️ And I’m resharing one of my favorite patterns from the archives - the Shamrock Garland! ☘️ The pattern is free on my blog (link in bio) or you can grab a printable copy in my Etsy shop. I’ve always loved this pattern, it’s fun to make (the shamrocks are basically a bunch of little hearts arranged in a clover shape 😍) and it just makes me so happy every time I pull it out of storage to put up on the mantle. I hope you love it too!

New free pattern! 🧶 ✨

One last winter pattern! It’s still plenty cold here in western NY so I’ll be wearing my new Hearthstone Beanie for a couple more months at least. I’m so happy with the way this one turned out! I wanted a chunky winter hat with tons of texture and this hat absolutely delivers!

The blo-sl st brim takes a little extra time to make, but I think the polished, knit look brim you end up with is worth it. And the bean stitch works up super fast so this turns into a quick project once you get to the main body of the hat.

I did alternating colors of cream and dark navy, but you could mix it up with 3 or 4 colors or even do just one solid color.

You can get the free pattern on my blog (link in bio) if you want to squeeze in a last winter make (or get an early start for next year! 😉).

Trying to post more consistently to social media, but also trying to crochet all the things. Only one of those is going well. 😂 I’m working on it! Starting strong with sharing my Monday WIP - the start of a new holiday garland! I call this one the Skinny Christmas Tree Garland (I also excel at coming up with creative names for my patterns 🙃). Anywho, I’m hoping to publish a pattern for this cutie by the end of the week. What do you think? Do we like the mix of green and white trees? Or should I keep it one color?

One of the hidden gems of the crochet world - the mini bean stitch!! ✨ Maybe it’s just me, but I feel like I rarely see this stitch used and I have no idea why - I loooove it! It’s so textured and plush and super easy to do. If you can single crochet, you can mini bean. Here’s how to do it:

Chain any odd number.

In the 3rd chain from the hook,

Step 1: (do not YO) insert hook into chain,

Step 2: YO and pull up a loop,

Step 3: YO and insert back into same ch,

Step 4: YO and pull up a loop (4 loops on hook),

Step 5: YO and pull through all 4 loops,

Step 6: chain 1 to close. Mini bean made!

Row 1: continue *sk 1 ch, MB in next ch*

Ch 1 and turn at the end of every row.

Row 2 and beyond: work 1 MB in each st, working in the V.

You can find all of my patterns using the mini bean stitch for free on my blog (linked in my bio).

Have you tried the mini bean stitch? Is it as under used as I think or do I just need to get out more?! 🤪

Free Fall Pumpkin Blanket Pattern! 🍂🍁 My social media has been a little quiet lately, but lots of crocheting has still been happening off screen. I’ve been working on this cozy, mega-textured Pumpkin blanket for the past month or so and the free pattern is finally available on my blog!

🍂 Size is adjustable - you can even make a table runner!
🍂 Worked entirely in the mini bean stitch.
🍂 Uses worsted weight yarn.
🍂 Color change graph included.
🍂 Reversible.

This might be one of my favorite fall patterns that I have ever created. 😍 And with cooler weather on the horizon, it’s the perfect time to get started (because let me tell you, working on this sucker while in the bleachers at your kids’ soccer game in 84° heat is not ideal 🥵).

You can grab the free version on my blog www.knottednest.com or purchase a printable version on my Etsy or Ravelry shops. Happy Fall!
