From a kitchen taking shape…to a warm, welcoming space made for everyday living. 🤍

Looking back at the Oatka Trail Kitchen Project, it’s so fun to see the progression from cabinetry and construction to the completely finished space.

Beautiful custom cabinetry set the tone, and then each layer brought the design together—flooring, countertops, lighting, plumbing fixtures, hardware, window treatments, counter stools and, finally, all those little finishing touches.

I love seeing how the original vision came together once every detail found its place. From concept to creation, it truly takes a great team. ✨

It’s always fun to look back at that moment when the new furniture is in place…and then see how all the finishing details completely pull a room together. 🤍

THEN: The furniture had arrived and the foundation of the office was taking shape.

NOW: Window treatments, lighting, an area rug and thoughtfully selected accessories add warmth, texture and personality—turning the space into a comfortable, polished home office that feels complete.

Those final layers really do make all the difference. ✨

Settlers Green Bathroom Update ✨ | Tile Time

The tile installation is underway, and this bathroom is really starting to come together!

I love the contrast between the dramatic movement of the floor tile and the soft, quiet large-format tile in the shower. It gives the room interest while still keeping the overall feel warm and sophisticated.

And just wait until the marble herringbone tile goes into that shower niche! 😍 That little detail is going to be the perfect finishing touch and one of my favorite moments in the room.

There’s still plenty more to come, but it’s so fun watching the vision take shape!

From Concept to Creation

Some projects are special because of the transformation…and some are special because of the people behind them. 🤍

This historic bath project was especially meaningful to me because it was created for my neighbor. The goal was to thoughtfully add a downstairs bathroom with a shower, giving her a beautiful, functional space while still respecting the character of her historic home.

From the very first ideas and selections to watching everything come together, it was such a rewarding project to be part of.

And her favorite part? The floor! 🤍 I love when there’s one special element in a room that brings the whole design to life—and knowing how much she loved it made the finished space even sweeter.

✨ FAMILY ROOM REFRESH | Selections in Progress ✨

Back at Bassett Furniture working on a family room refresh for a former client — I always love when clients invite me back for another project! 🤍

This time, we’re giving the family room a fresh new look with new pillows and an area rug, while working with the pieces they already have.

We’ve narrowed it down to three different color directions for the pillows, each giving the room a slightly different feel. Now we’ll see which combination my client loves most, and from there, we’ll select the perfect area rug to ground the space and pull everything together.

Sometimes a refresh doesn’t require changing everything — a new mix of color, pattern and texture can completely change how a room feels.

Which color direction would you choose — 1, 2 or 3? 👀

A fresh addition to the den at The Oaks Project — new chairs from Bassett Furniture! 🤎

With their clean lines and relaxed feel, these chairs fit beautifully with the midcentury modern style we’ve carried throughout this home.

And one of my favorite details? That fun pop of aqua on the lumbar pillows! 💙 It brings just the right amount of color and personality to the space while keeping everything feeling warm, comfortable and collected.

Sometimes it’s those smaller fabric and color choices that really make a piece feel special.

Another layer added to this longtime project — and I love seeing it continue to evolve! ✨

A memory from the Lincoln Hill Project as we were nearing the finish line on this primary bathroom renovation… and a look at how beautifully it all came together. 🤍

THEN: The final details were going into place — cabinetry, plumbing fixtures, tile, finishes and all those last pieces that bring months of planning and selections together.

NOW: A beautiful, serene primary bathroom designed with a timeless mix of warm wood tones, soft finishes and thoughtful details throughout.

There’s something so satisfying about looking back at those almost-finished moments and then seeing the completed space. ✨

I still need to get back to photograph this project properly, so consider this a little sneak peek of the finished bathroom — more to come!

NOW: A completely transformed bathroom that feels fresh and updated while still fitting beautifully with the character of this historic home.

A little look back at the Parkside Project — last year at this time, this laundry room was really starting to come together!

The new tile flooring had been laid, the cabinetry was installed, and the beautiful wood butcher block countertop was getting its stain. 🤎

It’s so fun to look back at the progress and then see the finished space. Layer by layer, each selection helped transform this hardworking room into a space that feels both functional and beautiful.
