I learned to draw interiors by hand.
There was something wonderful about those drawings—the weight of a line, the slight imperfections, the feeling that you could see an idea taking shape on the page.
When computer drawing came along, I embraced it. But I never quite wanted my drawings to look like they came from a computer.
Apparently, technology has finally caught up with me.
Today I can create drawings with the warmth and character I’ve always loved, then watch those same ideas move off the page and into three dimensions.
These images are from a recent kitchen project—a little journey from drawing to rendering, and eventually, to the real thing.
After all these years, I still love watching an idea become something you can almost walk into.
