Hey friends, hope your Tuesday is starting out great! Today I wanted to bring you another budget friendly diy home project my honey and I did a few years ago. Our front door entryway had always seemed drab to me. Kenny had done a beautiful board and batten half wall in that space about 5-6 years ago which definitely made a huge difference. The entryway just still didn't seem finished to me. So I asked him if he could do a wood plank ceiling and he definitely delivered 😊 We picked out a very moody almost black in color click lock accent wood and he got to work. The only tricky part was finding a trim piece to frame out the blank space as you enter the dining area because with the existing crown molding, it needed to look as natural as possible and sit flush against it. It really added some drama to the entryway and is a beautiful focal point now❤️ We did the whole project for around $80 and it didn't take him a super long time to complete it either!

Here's your sign to dive in and get creative with spaces around your home without fear! Things don't have to cost you a fortune to give you that upgraded look you've been envisioning. Happy Monday everyone! I couldn't resist sharing and giving you a good chuckle today 😆 I have been telling my husband for the last month that I need to start eating healthier and get back to trying to lose some weight. Anyone else feel like it's harder to stay disciplined with staying on track over summer and having your kiddos home?! Our son has been on an ice cream kick lately which is my achilles heal🤦 My willpower to not indulge with him is lacking! We're going on a short vacation Wednesday and I know there's no point in starting this week, but come Monday it's on!!!🤣😂 I hope everyone has a great start to your week ❤️

Happy Father's Day to all of you amazing Dads out there! God truly broke the mold when He created my cutie ginger hubby😊 He leads our son by example of what it means to follow the Lord with ALL his heart to be the best husband and father he can be❤️ Sadly both my husband and myself have lost our Father's since we've been married. We celebrate and honor them in Heaven today! To all those who are missing their earthly fathers today I'm sending hugs!!! May you find peace and comfort in your Heavenly Father's arms today and always! We spent Fathers Day weekend doing things my honey loves! Having fun on the lake yesterday, and today serving at church, grabbing Techno Cafe coffee, eating yummy burritos for lunch, and then playing golf simulator. I hope everyone has a blessed and beautiful Sunday whatever that may look like 😊

Happy Saturday friends! You all know I'm a sucker for minis. These are definitely the most interesting one's I've ever picked up! I'm not quite sure what animals they're supposed to be though 😂 Anywho, what they're made of is kind of gross to me, but cool at the same time lol. They're vintage and rare from what I've researched. They're made out of sinew (animal tendons) and real fur!!! From what I've read about sinew, after being processed a specific way can feel as hard as stone. These definitely are heavy like stone, but they feel a little porous and rough. I feel like if your hubby is a hunter or just an all out manly beast he'd appreciate these little critters 😂 If your Dad or husband fits that bill, these would make a great little addition to their father's day gift! You can find them in my booth #75 in the back building of The Plow at Handsmill. We're open til 6pm today. So come treasure hunt 2 full buildings to find that perfect last minute Father's Day gift for the special men in your life❤️

Happiest of Fridays to you friends!!! I've been collecting items for the new trinket shelf printer tray my sweet neighbor gave me. I pulled a handful of things from around our home. The rest I've been finding while out treasure hunting the last couple weeks. I bought tiny little frames online and cut out cats from cards to put in them and love the sweetness they add to it❤️ I only have 3 more skinny spots to find things for! Do you all swap out things on your trinket trays or do you leave it as is once you fill it up??? I feel like it's going to be hard for me to not want to swap some things out when I find new cuties lol. I hope everyone has an amazing day and weekend 😊

I felt like this at times today lol. The wind gusts earlier today in our area caused a tree to fall on power lines. We've been without power at our house for almost 5 hours and they keep pushing back the restoration time later into the night ☹️ Needless to say we're going to have to throw away some items in our fridge. The rain just started, so I'm hoping that'll help to cool down the inside of our house a bit more! We definitely needed the rain, so I'm definitely not complaining about that! My son and I are sitting in the dark with mini battery operated fans in our faces to keep coolish right now. My hubby just took a cold shower in the dark. I'm just glad he won't have stank swamp b***y after working outside all day😂🤣 I have been giving lots of pages love this past hour since I don't have anything else to do besides scroll through my FB feed lol. Happy Friday Eve peeps! I found some vintage and antique cuties while out treasure hunting this week! I brought home this beautiful antique Bryce Bros sawtooth engraved glass pitcher and an antique small blue willow bowl. Sometimes the antiques that show a bit of wear and history can be the most beautiful pieces❤️ My favorites from the lot have to be the little vintage glass butter dish and the vintage kitty cream and sugar set!😍

We have wild blackberry bushes on the corner of our back property. They have gone crazy this year and are starting to grow into our trees and pompas grass lol. My husband and son are troopers and go out to help me pick berries because I'm scared of the creepy crawlies and stinger bugs that nest in these trees and bushes😂 There's a TON of blackberries growing this summer! I'm thinking another week or 2 and we'll be blackberry wasted lol. I have had no luck growing other fruits in my yard, but these wild blackberries just do their thing every year luckily. Maybe that's the trick, I just need to not pay any attention to fruit plants and I'll actually have luck🤣 I remember growing up out West, we'd visit my aunt's house in Eugene Oregon and she had tons of wild strawberries growing all over. It was always so fun to pick them! Do you all have anything growing wild that's edible where you live?! I really wish we had wild blueberries here to pick❤️

Hey friends, it's another "What in the world is this Wednesday and how do you use it?!" Today's treasure is quite the kitschy mid century modern kitchen tool popular in the 1950's! It's an Androck #49 nut grinder in the Starburst pattern. It screws on top of a jar, then you put the nuts into the top of it and turn the crank handle. I bet you could crush coffee beans with it too!

Happy Tuesday friends! I bought this adorable artist signed cat statue at another vendors booth at The Plow at Handsmill last week (thank you Stanley in booth 82😊). It looked so much like Rupert already and I knew with just a little extra white and gray paint, it would look just like him after a little marking enhancements! I finally got around to touching up the paint yesterday afternoon. Rupert wasn't quite sure if he liked his doppelganger or not lol. My son wanted me to add the statue up on one of his game room shelves in honor of his fur baby😊 The picture of the statue on the table is the finished product. How do you think I did, does it look like Rupert?!
