This piece (1-3) sold at my last art market a few weeks ago but I almost didn’t even make it and once it was made, I almost didn’t bring it to the art market. And then, I sold another larger piece (4-5) that I almost didn’t bring.

I started making larger/wide pieces similar to this back in 2020, then made some really big pieces over the next few years but for some reason I’ve stopped making them. Last one I made before this was early last year (I shared a little about it but then decided to keep it for myself, for now).

They’re a bigger time investment, they took up a lot of space on my display board and I was scared that I wouldn’t be able to display as many “better selling pieces” and above all, I think I was afraid that they wouldn’t sell. Which is silly because I’ve sold every one that I’ve made. I’m so weird.

Truth is, the large pieces are really my favorite pieces. They make such a statement. And they’re so different.

So big thanks to the folks that took these wall hangings home that. You’ve inspired and reinvigorated me to make bigger pieces again and with my new display (6-7), I’ll have plenty of room to be able to showcase and share them at all of my upcoming art markets.

My MVP’s right here 👆🏼The biggest thanks to these guys for always keeping me caffeinated, fed, hydrated and gave me time to step away when I needed a quiet moment to recharge.

Artsplosure was amazing…my best market to date filled with amazing friends and folks and artists that gave me all kinds of support.

There were friends that stopped by my booth for the 2nd or 3rd year in a row just to buy more wildly. There were new friends that discovered my booth for the first time and wanted to take one of everything home. Folks that lingered for 30 minutes to choose the perfect piece. Folks that walked in and immediately knew which one they were taking home. Folks that appreciated and loved the unique concept of my work.
Markets are exhausting but all of your encouragement and excitement keeps me energized. I’m so grateful for each of you.

Also, we discovered a big screw in one of our tires and then a slow leak in another so the van got 4 new tires and it was a lot less stressful because of such a successful market. Thank you!

I just had to capture and share these new wall hangings before my next market this weekend in Raleigh because I haven’t been taking pictures of many new pieces and then they sell and I’m like “dang, I wish I had taken a picture”.

Ya know what they say “take a picture, it’ll last longer” 😆

I highly recommend adding one to your home so you’ll always have the sun on your side no matter how many clouds are out there.

Also, just a heads up, I’ll be shutting down my web sh0p on Monday morning (April 20) until late May. We’ve got a little life change happening in the next few weeks and it’s going to take some time to get sorted and settled.

I had intended to take so many more pictures over this past weekend while we were hanging out in Wilmington for a market but I kept getting wrapped up in the moment.
It was a weekend full of friends, sales, live music, admiring nature and just soaking it all in. Just how I like it!

I’m putting together some new pieces on my deck, next to my best bud, with the birds chirping, sun shining and a rainbow up above.
Would someone pinch me please, because this wild little life we’ve created feels like a dream.
It’s not always as peaceful as this but I’ll soak it in when I can!
