Based in Allamuchy, NJ, Home Technology Handyman is a rapidly growing smart home technology installation company with franchise locations across the country. We provide our homeowners and businesses with reliable, high value technology products and services including connected home automation, home theater, house audio and service industry technology solutions.

We are in search of a part-time, Connected Home Assistant to join the team at our North Jersey franchise location. We can be highly flexible with the exact days and hours you are available to work. This is a great opportunity for a High School/Vocational Tech School student looking to learn and gain experience in home technology, home theater and/or audio/video.

The Connected Home Assistant will help provide in-home assistance to our customers by resolving their home technology needs.

Responsibilities Include

• Programming universal remote controls, configuring app based smart devices
• Installing, servicing and troubleshooting home theater receivers, source devices and streaming media systems
• Installing, servicing and troubleshooting of Connected Home smart devices throughout the house. Examples include: Nest, Sonos, Roku, Ring, eero, Logitech Harmony Pro, Universal Remote Control, Pioneer, Sony, Lutron, MyQ, Rachio etc.
• Configuring and troubleshooting home network devices including, WiFi, routers, switches, access points etc.
• Assist with mounting and the wiring of flat panel displays and speaker systems.

Required Qualifications
• Provide punctual communication with the owner & other staff members
• At least 18 years old or be over 16 with working papers
• Reliable transportation or live in Panther Valley or surrounding area
• Aptitude and proficiency for technology
• Enjoy working in the public
• Highly presentable and polite
