When you’re choosing flowers for someone you love, the hardest part can be knowing what to choose.

Apparently our flowers have been looking a little too good lately.

So, for the record: this is real.

A real sympathy arrangement, made by real local florists right here at Stems in Rockford. Photographed exactly where it was sitting last week—on our very real, very busy, very unglamorous work counter—waiting for our delivery driver to get back and take it to a real family.

No staged room.
No pretty background.
No pretending.

You’ll just have to use your imagination and picture this one where it belongs: at a celebration of life, in someone’s home, or wherever a family needs a little beauty and care on a hard day.
