Friends! The awesome and engaging Creative Reuse Center in Rhode Island will be collaborating with local sustainable fashion startup to host their very own Re:Made Market at 50 Sims Ave, Providence, RI! We had a wonderful rainy-yet-cozy afternoon in our last Art Unplugged session with !

We made paper from shredded junk mail and school worksheets, and upcycled spent markers into vibrant alcohol inks to decorate our delicate sheets.

Attendees went home with paper, but they also left some pages behind, which we will assemble into a colorful collaborative piece to be put on display at The James!

Most of our inventory is donated - art supplies and materials that people no longer want / need.

However, we also want to ensure that we have certain items in stock that an artist will always need in their toolkit: surfaces, sketchbooks, basic colors, writing tools, tapes. For that, we are starting to slowly bring in NEW ITEMS into the shop in a carefully curated selection.

So, if you're looking for an adventure in color, stop by our shop for an ! We saw them in action at a few weeks ago and wanted to have them here for our customers to try out.

One of my favorite parts of the store is our vendor wall. Full of artists and makers with functional and delightful pieces. We have original framed art (encaustic, watercolor, upcycled mixed media, photography), upcycled plastic tools made of laundry detergent bottles (!!), take home kits, pre-fills of home products, woodcarvings and more! .craigbradleyphotography
