Getting ready to Petal it Forward!! See you around town! Society of American Florists

10/14/2026

Today is the day! Art Flower & Gift Shoppe is joining Petal It Forward right here in Rockville Centre, NY. We’re handing out flowers with one simple request: keep one for yourself and give the other to someone else.

It’s the Society of American Florists’ annual day of random acts of floral kindness, and we’re proud to host it. Flowers brighten days and spark smiles—help us spread that joy through the village.

Stop by, grab a pair, and pass one along. Who will you surprise today? Learn more about the day at safnow.org/petalitforward or visit us at artflorist.net. Share this post so neighbors know to swing by! Society of American Florists

Keep one. Share one. That is the whole idea.

On Wednesday, October 14, Art Flower & Gift Shoppe will be out in Rockville Centre, NY, for Petal It Forward. We hand someone two flowers or a small bouquet, ask them to keep one, and invite them to give the other to a friend, neighbor, coworker, or someone who needs a bright moment. This is a ripple of giving, not a sale.

For twelve years, florists have used Petal It Forward to show what giving and receiving flowers can do for a mood. The Society of American Florists points to research that most people feel happier when they receive flowers, and even more say giving flowers makes them happy. We are putting that idea into practice around Rockville Centre.

Who would you pass the second bouquet to? Tell us in the comments.
