As you all know, my farm stand has been closed "due to medical reasons". A few of you know exactly what those medical reasons are. In July, my doctors discovered that I had relapsed and my AML is back. I was fortunate enough to be able to complete my 1st round of Chemotherapy here locally and if that one was successful I will start my 2nd round on Sep 18th. If all goes as planned, I will head to OHSU for an infusion that I must remain up in Portland for until the beginning of the new year. During that time, I will need a caregiver with me 24/7. I am extremely lucky to have a support team that is willing to give up their time to stay with me. With this support though will come extensive travel & lodging costs. My husband will also be missing work during this time as he takes his share of the caregiving.
A gofund me account has been set up for anyone that would like to help cover some of those cost. No amount is too small and sharing this is also appreciated.
When I opened my little stand, I never expected that not only would it be as successful as it became but that I would meet so many friends along the way. The loss of income from having to close it, is nothing compared to the love and support that I have had these past 6 weeks. My goal is to be reopened by the middle of January, healthier than ever, and go back to being able to see all of you again!

Happy Sunday...
I was hoping to be able to open the stand for at least canned goods but it just isn't working out as hoped. This is the last month available to be able to shop off the shelves until the new year. All canned goods are put away and the shelves are full except for Pears. Crossing fingers that everything works out in order to get them done this year as well.
