Let’s Host an Angora Online Auction at Convention!

I’m reaching out to see if there’s interest in joining forces to host an Angora Online Auction during the upcoming ARBA Convention!
Some of you might remember the auction I ran a couple years ago to support my COD — and I’d love to bring back that same spirit of collaboration and community for this year’s big event.

Here’s what I’m envisioning:
* A 100% online auction, open during Convention week
Featuring Angoras from across the country
* A way to encourage participation in the show, spark networking among breeders, and bring positive attention to our breed
* A percentage of proceeds would be donated to NARBC to support COD holders, and I’ll recoup just enough to cover platform and hosting fees.
* The remaining funds go directly to the rabbit owners.

If you’re interested in participating — either by entering a rabbit or helping with planning — I’m putting together a mini group to brainstorm the logistics and fine-tune the details.

NORTHERN CALIFORNIA IS CALLING! Anderson, CA for the first time! Friday-Sunday, December 13-15, 2024 ((formerly Red Bluff). Different location but the same great show! THIS YEAR THERE IS SHOWMANSHIP & BREED ID ON SATURDAY hosted by Tehama County 4-H Rabbit Project (see catalog for information). Friday night Potluck (bring a dish to share) with Single Open Rabbit Show (youth may show open) and Angora Specialty. Saturday Double Open/Youth Rabbit Shows with 9 Specialty Shows! Sunday Double Open/Youth Rabbit Shows with Angora Specialty. SHOW A TOTAL OF 5 TIMES PLUS THE SPECIALTIES. JINGLE ALL THE WAY TO MCMINNVILLE! 🎄 We are thrilled to see everyone at our holiday show on December 20-21, 2024 in McMinnville, OR! Friday Night is a Single Open Rabbit with specialties for Rare Breed and Havana, Saturday is Triple Open & Youth Rabbit with Double Open, Single Youth Cavy Shows with specialties for Angora and Holland Lop! We have lots of holiday fun in store, and we encourage everyone to bring their holiday spirit and attire to add to the festivities (yes, you should wear that awful ugly sweater your family is begging you to not wear to the family Christmas dinner).

December Photo Contest Is Here! 🎄📸

Get those cameras ready and snap some festive December-themed pictures of your bunnies—because the fun starts NOW!

We’re kicking off a year-long adventure to create 2026's BAARG Bunny Calendar, and we need your help to make it amazing. Each month, we’ll collect and vote on photos to feature in the calendar, starting with December!

📅 Photo Submission Details:
🕛 Deadline: Submit your December/January-themed bunny photos NOW through December 31st at midnight.
📌 How to Participate: Follow the link below for all the details and start submitting your photos today!
🎁 Who Can Enter: Participation is open to the public. Show off your rabbits and their holiday or seasonal charm!

📷 Photo Guidelines:
- 🐇 Rabbit Photos Only: Let your bunnies shine!
- 🌟 Themes: Each month will feature a unique seasonal or holiday theme.
- 🔢 Limit: No more than 5 entries per exhibitor, with a maximum file size of 50 MB per photo.

🏆 What’s in It for You?
- The winning photo will be featured as January's page in next year’s BAARG calendar.
- Your photo will also be proudly displayed as BAARG’s Facebook cover photo for December!
