"This is a place made from groaning stones and wailing winds, where the layers define her history, and a river runs through her. The remnants of the ancients greet you in the most unlikely places, the fragments of petrified trees splintered and scattered throughout her colorful, perfectly imperfect shapes, to remind us of where we have been. Her smell permeates each step, her depths leave us breathless, but only those few who are willing to step into her welcoming vastness will ever experience the wonder she offers, the wonders of where the red stones groan."
This morning, we introduce five new people to this place named after a president, Theodore Roosevelt National Park, and one who loved her so much the first time returned. They hail from North Carolina, New Jersey, Manhattan, Ohio, Minnesota, and Colorado. We are excited to see this place through their eyes!
Have a beautiful Friday in your part of the world! Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for following along and for loving the wilds from these far away places!
