When I came to Bg in 1999 there was this amazing store named Werner Lowe and it was my happy place to say the least; flash forward two years and I was working there almost full time and going to college. I loved the wrap room full of ribbon, and curling ribbon, a bow maker and tons of boxes and wrapping paper that we made the most beautiful gifts happen. After I left there, a couple years later I opened my own store in my 20s called On the Dot. My parents called it my masters degree. I closed that store a month before I had Garrard, 15 years ago. So now, when I have to decorate I will do anything to avoid making a bow, curling ribbon with scissors, or using wrapping paper, so it’s now come to balls, bags, and candy. Yes, I know better, but I straight up don’t have time.
