Swipe for the before 👀

We’re in the final stages of this incredible guest bathroom renovation, and I am so excited to finally share it with you.

This one is easily one of my favorites to date — not just because it’s for my brother- and sister-in-law (which makes it extra special), but because… just look at it ❤️‍🔥

What was once an outdated Mediterranean bath is now a rich, layered statement space. Burgundy glazed shower tile paired with Rosso Marquina marble trim sets the tone — bold, timeless, and unforgettable.

We grounded it with a soft cassatone lapis porcelain floor for subtle pattern, then layered in warm brass plumbing, a marble countertop, and a stained wood vanity for that perfect balance of drama and elegance.

What was once a cool-toned space with heavy traditional furniture and minimal layering is now a timeless, warm, and inviting retreat for guests.

We renovated this room from floor to ceiling — starting with new hardwood floors to replace the carpet and grounding the space with a plush, patterned area rug. We softened the architecture with floor-to-ceiling drapery and created a more refined focal point with a beautifully upholstered bed.

Layered, cozy bedding in warm neutrals instantly elevated the room, while new nightstands, sculptural lamps, mirrors, fresh paint, and an updated ceiling fan completed the transformation.

Every detail was intentionally selected to create depth, warmth, and a sense of quiet luxury — the kind of guest bedroom that feels thoughtful, elevated, and effortlessly comfortable.

A true renovation. A true reset. And a space guests will never want to leave.

After three years of growing Abbey Hall Interiors together, Lizzie has stepped into her next chapter — returning home to Wales 🤍

I’m a true believer that two things can be true at once. I feel deeply sad for the daily absence of my closest friend, and at the very same time, immensely happy for her reunion with family and the life ahead as she returns home.

We’ve shared seven years of friendship, three years of building a business side by side, and one unforgettable year of growing babies in our bellies together. I’m grateful for every project, every lesson, every laugh — including the kind of inexplicable laughter that only comes from spending more time together than with our own families. I’ll miss the quiet telepathy in meetings, the long days that blurred into nights, and of course, the peanut butter bites we lived on when there was no time for a real meal.

There’s a real sense of loss when a season this meaningful comes to an end — but even more than that, there is pride, gratitude, and joy for what we built and what comes next. Abbey Hall Interiors will always carry Lizzie’s imprint, and I’m endlessly thankful for all she gave to this work and this team.

To our clients and collaborators: our studio remains strong, supported, and deeply committed to the level of care, creativity, and service you expect from us. This next chapter is one of continued growth, with the same heart behind every project.

2025 taught me a lot about design, leadership, balance, and grace.

Some lessons came through wins, others through pauses, pivots, and honest recalibration.

These aren’t rules or absolutes — just truths I learned by showing up, making mistakes, asking questions, and continuing forward. I’m sharing them in case they resonate with you, wherever you are in your own work or life.

I’m grateful for the projects that came to fruition, the ones that didn’t, the people who made it all possible, and the clarity that only experience can bring 🤍

The Stable - a fun take on the bathroom for our Shoppe. We replaced the old linoleum flooring but kept the old world charm, oh and the outlet by the sink too. Because when you’re a working mom trying to build a business, you never know where you need to do your hair. IFYKY.

We are deeply honored to receive the Silver Award for Lobby Design by the 2025 Georgia Design Awards.

This project will forever hold a very special place in my heart. The Holbrook of Sugar Hill was the first of my family’s senior-living communities that I had the privilege to design. I’d be lying if I were to say I wasn’t terrified. I started the design at 27 years old, at the beginning of my Mom’s retirement, and I felt an enormous responsibility to get it right. I wanted to honor her legacy and all she taught me, create an environment that the residents prided themselves to live in, and a place that the employees felt inspired to work in.

I learned quickly the difficulties of balancing all these needs amongst budgetary constraints. I had a lot of sleepless nights going over the finishes, furniture layouts, ergonomics and numbers to ensure it was not only aesthetically beautiful - but I took into consideration all the feedback I’ve received over the years from the residents and staff at our other homes so that it was what they needed for years to come.

To be recognized for the design is an honor I’ll treasure. But knowing someone chooses this space as the beginning of their next chapter, that’s the part that will stay with me forever.

A heartfelt thank you to Choate and Harrison Design for bringing this vision to life, and for being trusted partners on every new development ahead.
