New cherry bar top table for my niece’s kitchen. Christine’s kitchen island was missing an eating area so she ordered this table from me. It turned out great and fits the space by the island perfectly!

First cost of Osmo USA satin finish on the cherry table top is done! And it looks amazing! 😎

Finally glued up this cherry table base for my niece’s bar top table. It will go next to her kitchen island. This glue up was very stressful, but everything looks great, it’s parallel and all square. Now it’s time to put a hard wax oil finish on the table top and get ready to attach it to the base later this week.

Here are some beauty shots of the bowl I made today in a wood turning class using a lathe in Alpharetta, Ga. It’s made of red oak and this was my first time turning a bowl - I learned so much and had a great time making it. My neck is a little stiff but it was worth it! David Bosch and Gary Wilson are great instructors!

Finished up sanding the cherry bar table top tonight! Now to cut it to size 58” long and cut the legs and aprons to size. Love this live edge look for the top!

Thanks to David Bosch in Alpharetta, Ga for a fantastic Woodturning class! This is my first time using a lathe and our project today was to make a walnut handle for a pizza cutter. We started out practicing on a 2 x 2 piece of pine then worked up to the walnut and I’m very happy with how my pizza cutter project turned out! Looking forward to taking a bowl turning class next!

Here’s a look back at my Christmas booth setup at Apple Annie Arts & Crafts show in December. It’s my best and favorite event every year, very well run and organized with a great staff and volunteers, and I highly recommend it for other Atlanta area artists and vendors.
