This is the sauna bath coming together. The sauna is framed and insulated, and the shower is tiled from the pebble floor up. And that marble-look feature wall behind the vanity is my favorite part of the whole space.

A room like this takes a lot of planning behind the walls. Heat, moisture, drainage, and ventilation all have to work together before any of the pretty parts go in. Getting that right is what lets you enjoy the space for years without worrying about it.

Next up, the sauna gets its finishes. Follow along to see it finished.

After months of waiting, this capiz shell chandelier finally arrived at our Marietta remodel. When a piece is this special, you do not take chances getting it to the site in one piece.

Watching the electricians carefully unwrap it and lift it into place was such a satisfying moment. This is the kind of detail that makes a room feel finished.

I can't wait to show you the final space once everything is styled. Follow along for the reveal.

I am so honored to share that JL Signature Designs has been nominated for the 2026 Best of Georgia Awards and it's not too late to vote!

This one means a lot. So much of my business comes from clients who refer their friends, family, and neighbors, and a nomination like this is a reminder of how much that trust matters to me. Thank you for letting me into your homes and for sharing my work with the people you love.

If you have enjoyed working with me or following along here, I would love your vote. It only takes a minute, and voting closes October 31 at 11:59 PM.

Vote at bestofgeorgia.com.

Demo is underway, and honestly, there is something satisfying about doing it ourselves. No more waiting on someone else's schedule. When we are done, she is going to have all new flooring, vinyl, and lighting. It is going to feel like stepping onto a brand new boat.

I will keep you posted as the transformation comes together. Sometimes the best projects are the ones where you just roll up your sleeves and get it done yourself.

I was honored to spend the evening supporting my friend Kerri Bauer and with a few of my good designer friends as well at ADAC's To Live and Design event. If you have never been, it is a night that reminds you why this industry is so special. The event space comes alive with beautiful tablescapes, the energy is electric, and you get to be surrounded by people who care as much about beautiful spaces as you do.

Kerri has worked so hard to build what she has, and cheering her on that night meant a lot to me. There is something about standing in a room full of talented designers and vendors, all celebrating good design together, that fills the tank in a way client work sometimes cannot.

Moments like this are exactly why I love this community. We show up for each other, we celebrate each other's wins, and we walk away inspired to keep creating.

Remodel update: almost there.

Not long ago this bathroom was plastic sheeting, two ladders, and a wood beam going up one piece at a time. Now the tub is in, the pendant is hanging, and that arched window finally has a wall that shows it off.

Swipe through and you'll see how we got here. The beam install. Tile spacers still in the shower niche. Cabinets surrounded by boxes. Every one of those moments looked like chaos at the time, and every one was moving us closer to this.

My favorite part of a remodel is right now, when the decisions we made months ago are all showing up in real life. The vertical tile framing the niche. Warm wood against soft gray. Sconces on either side of the mirror so the light in the morning is flattering instead of harsh.

A few final details and this one is ready for the reveal.

If you are planning a remodel and want someone guiding you through every phase, from demo to the last fixture, I would love to talk. Inquire on my website today.

Fall has a way of pulling everyone back into the kitchen.

There's something about this one that feels made for the season. Warm wood tones, a hardworking six-burner range, and a backsplash with just enough texture to catch the light on a shorter day.

Kitchens like this remind me why I love this work. They're not built for photos. They're built for the people who gather in them.

Fall is around the corner, and this Roman shade is already dressed for it.

Custom-fit to this stairwell window, in a botanical print with just enough warmth in the rust and olive tones to carry a room straight into the season. Proof that window treatments can do more than filter light. They can set the mood for the whole house.

This is what happens when fabric selection gets the same attention as everything else in the room.

Ready to dress your windows for the season ahead? Let's talk.

Freshly refinished, freshly stained, and finally ready for what comes next.

This is one of my favorite moments in any renovation. Bare rooms, brand new floors, and a house that's holding its breath before the furniture comes back in. Walk through the whole space with me, (in your sock feet, please!) from the fireplace to the kitchen island still wrapped for protection.

Nothing changes the feel of a home faster than what's underfoot.

Design board to reality: entryway edition.

Round mirror, textured stone lamp, black and brass console, and a rug with just enough age to feel like it's always belonged. Every piece selected months before it ever touched this wall.

Swipe to see it styled and lit in the space, it's magical!
