FLOOROLOGY

One of our favorite features in this Merrill bathroom was hiding above the old shower surround.

As soon as we discovered this beautiful log was there, we planned to incorporate it into the new shower’s design.

Now, its warm tones and natural character pair beautifully with the new tile, creating a shower that feels right at home in this Wisconsin Northwoods log cabin.

It’s a reminder of how thoughtful remodeling can bring a fresh perspective to the features that make a home special.

Tim, Shawn, and our trusted trade partners have been busy bringing the details together over the past couple of weeks, and this transformation is coming along beautifully. We’re also sprucing up a few other areas of the home along the way.

Here’s a little behind-the-scenes look at the work in progress. We can’t wait to show you how it all comes together!

Beautiful spaces depend on skilled hands. The future of our industry depends on who we inspire next.

We’re proud to see Floorology featured in TileLetter for our commitment to helping the next generation discover opportunities in the skilled trades.

From introducing students to tile installation at Build My Future Northcentral Wisconsin to helping advance local flooring installation training at Northcentral Technical College, this is work we care deeply about.

Because a student can’t pursue an opportunity they haven’t had the chance to discover.

Thank you to the educators, organizers, volunteers, and industry partners who help make these opportunities possible - and to TileLetter for sharing the story.

Read the feature below, and share it with a student, parent, or educator who could help someone discover their path.

Your Northwoods retreat should feel like a getaway, even on an ordinary Tuesday.

This lower-level bathroom in Minocqua brings that feeling home: a warm wood-look tile accent wall, natural pebble shower floor and a recessed niche that ties the textures together.

The thoughtful details make the difference. Vertical tile draws the eye upward. Glass above the half walls keeps the shower feeling open. Built-in storage gives everyday essentials a place without interrupting the room’s clean lines.

And lasting quality starts beneath those beautiful finishes with careful prep-work, waterproofing and skilled tile installation.

Floorology™ | Five-Star Interiors worked closely with the homeowner to design and install the custom tile shower and floor tile for three bathrooms in this Minocqua home, including the custom shower featured here.

Planning a Northern Wisconsin remodel or building a new home? Your interiors deserve the same care as the setting you chose.

From custom tile showers and flooring to full-service interior design + build for kitchens, bathrooms and whole-home interiors, we help homeowners bring thoughtful selections and technical ex*****on together from the beginning.

For those who value craftsmanship, personal guidance and a home thoughtfully tailored to how they live.
