Found a cabin with a flat roof and a lake view.

Couldn't just leave it like that.

Turf, pergola, fire pit, string lights β€” all solo, all in one afternoon. When the fireflies showed up at dusk I knew this was the best thing I've ever built.

Now I just sit up there and pretend I'm on vacation. Every single evening.

Had 4 old wooden crates sitting in the garage doing nothing. Screwed them together, dumped some river rocks in the middle, dropped a plant in.

Took maybe 15 minutes and a drill.

Now it holds my beer and my remote and that's really all I needed from a coffee table.

Save this before your wife buys one for $400 🍺

A balloon, an old rag, and a bag of cement. That's it.

Pop the balloon and you get this wild flower-shaped planter that looks like it cost $80 at a boutique.

Cost me about $4 and a Saturday afternoon.

Growing hot peppers in it now 🌢️

Save this one β€” you'll want to try it.

Soaked a piece of burlap in a bucket. Draped it over a tube. Walked away.

Came back the next day and peeled off a vase.

That's literally it. No mold, no sculpting, no skill required. The folds do all the work β€” every single one comes out different.

Threw some pampas grass in it and now it looks like something from a home decor store. Except it cost about $3.

Try it this weekend πŸ‘‡

Stack of wood discs. A dowel rod. An angle grinder. That's how this started.

Kept rotating each disc a few degrees and stacking them up until this twisted shape just appeared on its own. Sanded it down, hit it with dark oil and watched the grain come alive.

Bolted on a steel base, dropped glass on top β€” dining table.

Still can't believe this came out of my garage.

Would you build or buy? πŸ‘‡

River stones + a bag of mix + three wooden frames.

That's it. That's the whole supply list.

Flipped the first one over and honestly didn't expect it to look THAT good. The stones just lock into this natural mosaic pattern that you can't really plan β€” it just happens.

Four tiles later I had a backyard path that looks like it cost way more than it did.

Save this one for the weekend πŸͺ¨

Old plates were about to hit the trash. Then I grabbed a hammer.

Smashed them into pieces
Cemented a beat-up table
Laid the shards one by one
Grouted, wiped, done

Now it's where I drink my morning coffee β˜•

Would you smash plates for a table like this?

3 old tires, a pond pump. Now my backyard sounds like a spa.

stack them on a pipe, let the pump do the rest. Total build time: one afternoon.
