My tapestry HOSANNAH (c) 2026 explores Psalm 1 along with the 7 branched Menorah and with 'God Save Us' for Palm Sunday and the Psalms of Ascent that were sung as believers ascended Mount Zion to the Temple.

Geoff Rogers Framing, Pine Hill, New York, does an incredible job. Thank you Geoff, Tabitha Gilmore-Barnes Studio.

"THE THINGS I NEVER SAID" 2026

This exhibit at the Roxbury Arts Group Vega Mountain Gallery is NOW OPEN through May 23 https://roxburyartsgroup.org/exhibitions

My tapestry Lily Pond (c) 2025 is on view in "The Things I Never Said". Be sure to pick up the Gallery Notes handout to read how each participating artist addresses words not spoken, memories, and life's challenges. This tapestry was woven specifically and juried into last year's "SANCTUARY" Exhibit at the Woodstock Artists Association and Museum -- https://tabithagilmore-barnesstudio.com/portfolio/lily-pond-c-2025/.

This tapestry while started in mid 2025, was just finished a few weeks ago:

HOSANNAH (c) 2026 - connects the 7 branched Temple Menorah with the Tree of Life (Genesis 2 and Psalm 1) with the word HOSANNAH from Psalm 118. The word means 'save us, we pray' and was in Psalm 118 used in the praise worship for the Feast of Tabernacles (Succoth/Pentecost) which occurs 50 days after Passover/Easter, but was used for Palm Sunday.

This tapestry is still on its stretcher frame loom and awaits being removed for hemming and framing.

Please note that I have been for a long time intrigued with the depth and richness of meaning and definition for the Hebrew words that are so inadequately defined and translated into English: thank you for letting me share my excitement and discovery with you.

2026 UPDATE

It is with regret that I am closing down my website (https://tabithagilmore-barnesstudio.com) due to family situation. I am moving into the next chapter in my life. I plan to focus more on the creative processes of weaving tapestries and less on the administrative business practices.

Watch for my monthly posts on Facebook and Instagram accounts for updates and new works (https://facebook.com/handwoventextiles) ().

Studio visits and inquiries are always welcomed, and email me at: tgbweavingstudio@hotmail.

The Subject Line MUST read Studio Visit and Inquiry otherwise your email ends up being deleted as spam.

A big thank you goes to Lisa Tait/Silvertop Graphics and Brian Sweeney/Locust Grove Enterprises for their creativity in assembling this website for me since 2019.
