Fox Hollow Primitives Custom painted antique furniture using old world paints and techniques. My name is September Day and I have a love affair with old things and antiques.

I love rust! I have been collecting and reviving antique furniture for over 20 years now. It is my passion and what makes my heart beat. I also enjoy working with beeswax and have added a line of beeswax body care products made by me and handcasted beeswax ornaments

Before and after...dresser makeover.
This poor gal had been given an awful wallpaper makeover decades ago. Lots of sanding, a heat gun, and massive amounts of elbow grease returned her to her naked state. Then a few coats of chalk paint, Wood icing crackle and Java gel stain and high performance top coat in matte finish from Decor with a past in Marysville and clear and dark wax and shes dressed in red and ready to go. Black drawer pulls finish her look. I named her "Mae West". And just like her namesake she's a beauty.

Been so busy lately haven't had a chance to check in. Here's a sneak peek of what Brian and I have been up to. We've been hired to completely revamp and overhaul an outdated shed and transform into a whimsical outdoor garden potting room. Today consisted of ripping out the old floors and cutting new window openings and installing new Pella windows which we decided to install sideways and installing a "new" antique door. Stay tuned for updates...paint is next.
