If you’ve been following along with the build of our Lincoln Project over the past year, you’ve probably seen quite a bit of behind-the-scenes footage of this hallway!

We completely reconfigured the primary suite, creating a new entry point that resulted in one very long hallway. Rather than treating it as just a passageway, we turned it into a feature of its own.

So many talented trades played a part in bringing this space to life, and I love getting to highlight some of their incredible work here!

Here’s a look at how it all came together, from the early stages of construction to the final reveal 🛠️✨

Today I’m sharing what might just be my favorite part of this home. The great room🤍

When you have a space this open, there’s a lot going on visually. You’re seeing the living room, kitchen, dining area, and all those beautiful architectural details at once. So the trick is making everything feel connected without being too matchy-matchy.

Restraint is a big part of my design philosophy. I love creating spaces where no single element demands all the attention, but instead, everything works together in harmony. Your eye can move naturally through the space, taking in all the beautiful details without feeling overwhelmed.

For this room, we leaned into a palette of soft, coordinating tones, layering in interesting shapes and textures to give it warmth and personality. I love that it feels so peaceful and inviting, but at the same time, happy and full of life.

We’ve shared quite a bit of this home over the past few weeks, and now that you’ve seen all the main spaces, I’m curious… which room is your favorite? 🤍

I’ve always had a soft spot for a traditional dining room. There’s just something about having a space that feels a little extra special, one that makes you want to gather around the table, and stay a little longer.

For this room, we chose a beautiful patterned wallpaper, soft upholstered chairs, and classic architectural details. I love how much warmth the wallpaper brings to the space.

One of my favorite details is the collection of nine vintage French menus that we framed and hung together on one of the larger walls. They felt like the perfect finishing touch for this room 🤍

The primary bath at our Lincoln Project 🤍

We completely reconfigured this part of the home to create a new primary suite, working with a pretty tight footprint and making every inch count.

I’ve always loved bathrooms that feel calm, serene, and restful. We kept the palette neutral and cohesive so your eye can move easily through the space without any one thing competing for attention.

The checkered marble and limestone floors with chiseled edges bring in a sense of history and an old-world feel, while the rest of the room stays warm, understated, and quietly beautiful.

Come inside our Lincoln Project.
A full tour of this very special home.

I could honestly write a novel with every post from this house, there was so much thought, consideration, and detail that went into every part of it. This was a full-home remodel, addition, and furnishings project, and while I love sharing all the beautiful details, one of my favorite parts is the way we reworked the layout and interior architecture of the home.

From the pantry vestibule that now creates a beautiful transition between the kitchen and dining room, to the library we carved out of what was once a blank box, to the new primary suite with its own hallway, so much of what makes this home special is in the way the spaces were planned and how they flow together.

Come take a tour and see how it all came together 🤍

More from the Lincoln Project today—and quite possibly everyone’s favorite room in the house: the library.

We wanted this room to feel a little moodier and more enveloping than the rest of the home. The deeper color is a richer take on tones carried throughout the house, giving the library its own identity while still feeling connected to everything around it.

The woodwork and rolling ladder bring a sense of craftsmanship and permanence, while the doors allow the room to feel tucked away and intimate. But what really makes it are the books. The clients sourced hundreds of vintage books, choosing ones they would actually want to pull from the shelves and read, giving the room the collected, authentic feeling we envisioned from the beginning.

It’s a small room that became one of the most loved spaces in the house 💙

A few of our favorites from the Lincoln Project.

We’ve shared pieces of this home throughout the process, and we’re excited to finally share how the home comes together.

One of my favorite things about designing a whole home is creating spaces that feel distinct, without ever feeling disconnected. Each room has its own mood, its own details and its own character, yet together they feel like they belong.

So much more of this home to share soon.

For us, every project starts with the architecture.

The proportions.
The sightlines.
The openings and transitions.
How you move through the house.
What you see when you walk through the front door.

All of it.

Long before we’re thinking about finishes, furniture, or any of the pretty things, we’re looking at the bones of the house and asking - could this be better?

Clients don’t necessarily come to us asking to change the architecture of their home. But as we work through a space, we’re always looking for opportunities to improve the way it flows, the way it feels, and the way one space relates to the next.

Sometimes a few relatively simple changes can completely shift the way a home looks and feels.

This Loomis remodel is a perfect example.

We reworked the entry with new transoms and an interior window to create some rhythm across the wall, give the entry a little more definition, and still keep that beautiful view straight through to the backyard.

Then in the living room, we simplified the window bay and rethought the fireplace and built-ins so everything felt like one architectural composition rather than a collection of separate pieces.

Nothing flashy.

Just a lot of little decisions that add up to a home that feels more intentional.

Eventually there will be stone and lighting and furniture and all the pretty things.

But this part?

This is where the story really starts.
