It's may 15th getting ready to load my kiln for a glaze firing tomorrow. I like to pilot my kiln over night on low before doing the actual firing itself.
My firing will consist of the 41 mugs I've been glazing the past 2 weeks approximately 50 hrs of glazing time I had into glazing them all. Most all the mugs have 4 to 5 coats of glaze hand brushed and layered with several different types of glazes to achieve the desired color I am looking for.
Colors will be as follows:
8 mugs mystic blue violet
8 mugs arctic ice and Sienna
8 mugs caramel apple green and sienna
7 mugs grape blast
6 mugs cotton candy pink
4 mugs purple
And one 7 1/2 inch glazed test plate

I just finished restocking my display with some new handmade pottery mugs and Ceramic lamps at the Tawas Bay art gallery on Newman street.
All my Ceramic pottery pieces there
are for sale.
So stop on up and check them out. I have coffee mugs and soap dispensers also all are food and dishwasher safe and make great gifts. At a reasonable price
The gallery itself has 34 michigan artist works on display and all the art works displayed there are for sale..

May 22 just unloaded my large skutt kiln
I completely filled it with mugs this time.
41 mugs all together it will take me 1 whole week to prep them all the mugs and get them all glazed. I have 6 different colors I will be doing the mugs in this time.
Each color consists of 4 to 5 coats of glazes all hand brushed and overlapped. So the whole process takes quite awhile .
I will be sure post more pics when all the mugs are done and glaze fired.

Well my newly redesigned Artisan lamps turned out awesomely I would say. Along with a couple of birdhouses.

Spring birdhouses are finally done. I will be taking some out to the Loft on tittabawassee today and several will be heading to Tawas art gallery in Tawas on Newman street . And the rest posted to my etsy site.

I am getting closer to finishing up my spring batch of ceramic birdhouses. Hopefully I will have all 13 glazed and fired and ready to sell by next weekend.

A few of my spring colored purple and pink mugs that I dropped of yesterday to Mo Cocco's coffee shop in Merrill. It's a small batch 4 pink mugs and 2 purple mugs so if you see one you like don't wait or they maybe gone. They are $35.00 each
Fyi their cinnamon rolls they make there fresh every day are truely awesome.

I just finished restocking my booth at the loft in saginaw. New addition s include 2 new large vases on the top self and 3 cotton candy pink soap dispenser
And a smaller pink vase. .

This show is all selected BFA grad students from Saginaw Valley State University from over the past 30yrs plus thier Ceramic instructors. And i get to be apart of it !
