Still unwell, but working on the things I can control: meeting with a nutritionist, working to manage my stress, and adding a little bit of fall inside my house to feel more connected to the season. Mike is still handling the shop drops, so it's all good for now. 🧡

I am dealing with an autoimmune issue following a virus I had back in August. Tests have ruled out the scary stuff, so what's left is "post-viral syndrome": crushing fatigue, joint pain, headache, brain fog. Today makes four weeks, and there's no way to tell how much more to go. It's beyond frustrating, but hopefully 🙏 temporary.

I'm not able to do things as I normally would, in the shop or here on social media, but I'm still here 👋. I tag a few items when I am up to it and Mike (who has bravely overcome his lifelong Irish Catholic fear of breaking fancy things) brings them into the shop for me. And this friends, is why we hoard: I haven't been able to source in over a month but my shop room at home just keeps delivering. 😂 I can't wait until I can get in to The Rustic Chaos and do a big reset. In the meantime, this group of lovelies should be in by Friday.

I miss seeing everyone's posts and messages but I still don't have the bandwidth to scroll or respond. Hope you all are off to a great start for fall 🍁🎃🧡

One of my favorite pics of Mike and me. 💙 This was pre-Montreal, when I had a beach house in Onset, MA and thought we'd retire there. We had our first date in Onset in June 2017, at the Stonebridge restaurant, and we immediately knew we were meant for each other.

We camped out there for a few of the covid years, wearing extra sweaters and occasionally stuffing cracks in the old wood walls to keep out the winter wind. We even got married at the town hall in 2020, just the two of us, the town clerk, and our masks.

Life moved on and by late 2024, I'd decided to pursue a long-held desire to have a place in Canada (I am a dual citizen.) We were sad to say goodbye to Onset, but after many trips to Montreal together, we felt solid about the decision. I really had no effing idea what I was doing, but, as with most of my ventures, I dove in and hoped for the best. 😅 And it's been pretty great so far.

Still sick, have had every medical test on the planet, no answers. I think I might have mono again, but we'll see. Please send vibes. 💙
