The front shows the effect. The back tells us how to mount it.

When you ask for mounting help, don't write a paragraph — send three things:

1 — One full photo of the back of the prop
2 — One close-up of the pipe or attachment point
3 — The pipe size and type

That removes the guesswork. A clean picture and two measurements are usually more useful than a long description.

Our Panel Builder has a new home and a fresh update.

It now lives in the Design Center too, and it is still right on the Outdoor and Indoor P5 Panel Joiner pages where it has always been. The enclosure option is front and center where you can actually see it, and you can skip the acrylic front panel and seal the seams instead.

Pick your matrix size, get the exact parts list, and download a build sheet with every measurement.

A large coro prop is only as stable as the frame behind it.

Pipe to Coro Brackets connect PVC or EMT framing to the back of a coro prop. Instead of relying on the coro alone, you get a rigid, repeatable structure — a grouped set supports up to 35 lbs with PVC, and even more with EMT.

And they are not a one-prop part. These are universal — the same brackets work on a snowflake, a star, a tree, a tombstone, any coro prop you build. Change the prop, change the frame, use them again. You are not buying hardware for one prop. You are building a reusable system for all of them.

Pick your profile: Standard 20mm / Slimline 15mm, for tight high-density props / Ultra Slimline 11mm, the lowest profile.

Counting quad joiners on paper at midnight? There is a better way.

Meet the Panel Matrix Builder, our new free tool on the Outdoor and Indoor P5 Panel Joiner pages. Pick your matrix size, from a single panel up to 64 per side, and it does the planning for you:

It counts every corner mount, T joiner, dual joiner and quad joiner your frame needs, then one button adds the printed parts to your cart with the right options picked.

It plans your Colorlight cards too: how many the matrix needs, which section of the matrix each card runs, and a mount choice for every card, marked with green dots on the diagram.

Your first layer has been trying to tell you something.

Big news from the workbench: the SFL Designs blog is officially live. Every Tuesday and Thursday we'll be posting the practical stuff we wish someone had handed us sooner. Tuesdays are 3D printing know-how, Thursdays are design fundamentals in Fusion 360. Short reads, plain English, zero gatekeeping. And starting Saturday, October 24, it's Showtime Saturdays: a morning post on the hardware (lights, power, controllers, props) and an afternoon post on programming the show in xLights.

First up: "Your First Layer Is Talking. Here's How to Read It." The three basic looks that tell you exactly what your printer is complaining about, and the simple routine that fixes it before you start spinning every k**b on the machine.

Halloween is close. Christmas is closer than it looks.

Make two lists tonight. First: what has to be fixed or mounted for Halloween. Second: what hardware you still need before the Christmas build rush. Separate the must-have parts from the “nice later” parts. That keeps a small Halloween repair from stealing the time you need for the Christmas frame, controller box, or roofline.

Our site has seen 4,341 downloads across 2,950+ STL files this year alone 🔥 — Seed Pixel mounts, coro brackets, controller hardware, all of it. The Seed Pixel Matrixmate alone pulled 114 since its release earlier this year.
