One of my favorite milestones as an artist happened recently—I got to tattoo my niece for her first "grown-up" tattoo. ❤️

Not only had she just graduated high school, but it was also her 18th birthday. That's a pretty special combination of milestones, and I was honored that she trusted me to create something meaningful to mark the occasion.

Watching family grow into their own person is incredible. Getting to create a lasting reminder of that moment is something I'll never take for granted.

One of my favorite parts of tattooing is seeing someone connect with a design and make it their own ❤️🌸

This anatomical heart postage stamp was inspired by several designs and ideas I came across, which I then combined and adapted into a piece that fit my style and vision. I was thrilled when someone saw it and decided it was the perfect tattoo for them.

Not only was this tattoo a lot of fun to do, but the entire appointment was filled with good company. Those kinds of sessions are a reminder of why I love what I do.

We finally finished Whitney’s foxglove piece 🌸✨

This one healed beautifully, and I’m honestly so proud of how soft and vibrant it turned out. The pops of color, the delicate blackwork details, and those little sparkles came together exactly how we hoped.

And I also want to say this: Whitney absolutely powered through this tattoo. Everyone’s pain tolerance is different, and larger color pieces can be tough — even with numbing cream before and during the session.

As artists, I think it’s important to remember that tattoos do hurt. They’re permanent artwork being placed into skin. But there’s a huge difference between discomfort and feeling pushed beyond your limits.

I never want my clients to feel ignored, rushed, or shamed for needing breaks, repositioning, numbing support, snacks, water, or simply a moment to breathe. A good tattoo experience should still feel collaborative, supportive, and respectful of your body.

If you’ve had a rough experience elsewhere or you’re nervous about getting tattooed because of pain, I’d genuinely love the opportunity to show you a different kind of tattoo session 🤍

This was such a meaningful idea 🤍

A mother-in-law and her son’s wife both chose to get their maiden names tattooed in their fathers’ actual handwriting.

Something about preserving handwriting feels so personal — like carrying a piece of someone with you forever. Not just the name itself, but the way they wrote it. The little details. The movement. The familiarity.

I absolutely loved working on these. Fonts and script tattoos are genuinely one of my favorite things to do, and recreating handwriting always feels incredibly special.
