Hi, I’m Cassandra!
Have we met? Let me tell you a few of the many different names that I am called:
“P/Parth/Mrs. Parthemer”: I’m a high school ag teacher and couldn’t vision doing anything different. I love agriculture and sharing my knowledge with others. I love helping the youth find their path and connection in agriculture, and hope their passion for it will keep this industry alive.
“Mama/Mommy”: I have a three year old son, and BOY he is feral. I know all parents say that about toddler boys- but if you have met Cannon you would agree he’s among the most feral.
“Honey”: My husband and I just moved into our house we built for the feral child to live in the country- but our house is far from done. We have a lot of work left to do on it. Picture this: I have a cowhide rug sitting on my plywood floors 😂. So when I’m not tanning hides this summer, you can often find me staining trim!
“Cass”: A nickname used by my family. I am blessed to live just down the road from my parents. My parents are farmers- a career that I wanted when I was 16 years old. This is also why I still have my own cattle that I raise alongside theirs. Sorting cattle, working cattle, riding horses, and doing hay is my favorite part of the summer.
I live and breathe agriculture. Hide tanning has allowed me to connect to so many people with values the same as mine- whether they are hunters, farmers, ranchers. I love hearing their stories, being able to be a part of the sentiment that becomes the hide I work on for them, and connect with their love for the animals God put on this earth and feeding our people.
I am so lucky for the people I have worked with and met through tanning- thank you for being here.
