To get an exotic vibe without going, 'theme parky', focus on color, pattern & texture in spicey little dashes. White canvas with dark wood accents harkens back to old time safari's. These highly distressed cabinets may not be everyones cup of tea, but they look enchantingly 'old world' when topped with sleek granite!
You can easily control the amount of distressing to suit your own tastes.
The goal is not to make it look old & uncared for, but rather a clean aging.Take note that everything else in the room is precise, sleek & clean.
