It's been a busy fall in and out of the quilt studio. One day into my annual quilt retreat, I received a call that my mom had broken her ankle. My sis lives in Texas, so I packed up and went home to take care of mom. My sister was able to come a week later and take over mom's care. Then I was back to quilting. This gorgeous quilt came in from a lady in Mankato Minnesota. It was a joy to quilt. I have a Shutterfly book printed each year of all the quilts I finish. This will be the cover of 2018. Although, it was a hard choice because there were so many beautiful quilts that came in. Happy Quilting and Merry Christmas!

I'm so excited about an opportunity I had earlier this year. Darlene Zimmerman- Feed Sack Lady (feedsacklady.com) asked me to finish a quilt for her. She said it was for a magazine. The magazine-Quilts and More- came out last week. Check it out! Page 40-45

Grand Champion quilt at the local Ewenique Quilt Guild Show last fall. My friend, Bev, made this Judy Niemeyer paper-pieced quilt. I was privileged to get you quilt it for her.

Today was the day I was finally able to give this quilt to my niece. You see, Grandma Esau made a quilt for every grandchild when they graduated from high school. Anna was the youngest grandchild and never got a quilt from Grandma because Grandma had a stroke and was unable to make her one. Grandma died 2 years ago. I took Grandma's clothes and made this quilt for Anna. I saved it for this day, her bridal shower day! A special gift for a special young lady!

Today, I'm working on a fabulous quilt. This black, purple, lavender and white quilt is a paper-pieced, Judy Niemeyer Vintage Rose design. Quilter Bev Olsen constructed it. Today is a great day to be a longarm quilter!

Back in the quilt studio! After losing my dear dad right before Christmas last year, I spent most of January with my mom and taking care of dad's end of life 'stuff'. Then in February and the first week and a half, I was out of commotion with whatever nasty bug was going around. All that time tho, the quilts kept coming in. I want to thank my customers who have be patient with me through this difficult time. I've been back at the quilt machine since mid - March . Here 's a sample of what I've done.

2017 has been busy in the Qiilt studio. After losing my dear father right before Christmas last year, the beginning of 2017 was spent taking care of mom and all the end of life bookwork. That was followed by 5-6 weeks of whatever nasty bug was going around. But the quilts kept coming in! I've been very busy sewing lately in an effort to catch up. Here's some of what I've done lately.
