Launching the “Woman in the Moon”

1929’s pioneering science-fiction film, “Woman in the Moon” (Frau im Mond), featured a rocket designed by real-life German spaceflight engineer Hermann Oberth. He served as the scientific and technical consultant on the film, helping director Fritz Lang depict advanced aerospace concepts.

This rocket is a 1:32 scale model made fully of paper. Boosting on a C6-5 Estes Motor and returning on a 16” parachute.
