Project Introduction 👋 Roberson CDR+J

It's been a long time coming for this building addition and remodel at Roberson CDR+J. Design began over two years ago for this project, which features two building additions (totaling a mere 3,400 sf), an interior remodel, and site upgrades. The result will be a dealership that is more functional for employees and customers, a site that is easier to navigate, and an eye-catching building that draws people in.

Construction began in March, and after a few months of subgrade prep and underground work, construction is finally going vertical!

The teams from Facet Architects and Anderson Shirley Architects were proud to participate in Women Build 2026, hosted by Habitat For Humanity Mid Willamette Valley, joining volunteers in support of building safe, affordable housing. Women Build brings people together to learn, collaborate, and contribute directly to strengthening communities through hands-on construction projects that create a lasting impact for families in need.

Project Introduction 👋
The Gate Youth Association Building Expansion

The Gate Youth Association in Independence, Oregon has been successful in creating a safe and welcoming environment where students can foster connection, growth, and spiritual development. With an attendance growth of over 316% over the last four years, the students have outgrown the facility, so it is expanding!

The addition will include:
• Two dedicated classrooms designed for quiet, focused learning and small group activities
• An upstairs multipurpose area for larger gatherings, events, and community programs
• A spacious game room featuring exposed open web joists for a dynamic and inviting atmosphere
• Staff offices to support organizational growth and improve operational efficiency

Project Highlights:
• 7,128 sq. ft. addition to the existing 11,600 sq. ft. facility
• Elevator installation for improved accessibility
• Mass-Plywood Panel floor system for structural support and reduced sound transfer
• Open web joist ceiling for a modern, open aesthetic
• Enhanced natural daylight throughout the new spaces

This expansion is designed to alleviate overcrowding, provide quieter environments for students who need them, and create functional spaces that serve academic, social, and spiritual needs.

Project Introduction‼️ YVC Department of Human Services TI

The Department of Human Services at the Chemeketa Yamhill Campus is undergoing a comprehensive remodeling project designed to expand their workspace and enhance both staff and visitor experience. The renovation focuses on reorganizing the interior layout and provide new finishes, updated furniture, and an overall design that supports a more welcoming environment.

Key improvements in Phase I include:
• New interior paint and lighting that brightens the space and creates a cohesive visual identity.
• Updated furniture that improves functionality, comfort, and workflow efficiency.
• Additional square footage to existing space to properly separate departments and provide more functional support spaces.

The finished project will create a warm, professional, environment for staff, and an inviting space for community members—supporting the department’s mission to provide accessible and compassionate services.

We’re excited to introduce the newest member of our design team at Facet Architects, Jason Gresham!

Jason started with the firm in October 2025. He was born and raised in Fresno and holds a BS of Architectural Studies from Fresno State. He moved to Oregon during the Covid lockdown and decided to plant roots here. At work, Jason is most fulfilled when collaborating with others and staying busy. Outside of work, he enjoys trying new restaurants, indoor rock climbing, fishing, watching basketball, and playing tabletop games.

Facet Architects is pleased to formally introduce our new Administrative & Marketing Coordinator, Prakaydao Chinpinyokul!

Prakaydao was born and raised in Thailand and later made Oregon her home after discovering her passion for creative media and digital storytelling. She earned a degree in Digital Communication with a minor in Graphic Design from Oregon State University. Since joining the firm in September 2025, she has contributed through her attention to detail, adaptability, and collaborative spirit. Outside of Facet Architects, she pursues her love for the marching arts as an instructor at IMPACT Percussion and supports a local high school program, fostering performers’ growth and meaningful performance experiences.

A warm welcome to the newest interior designer joining Facet Architects, Sarah Stanley!

Sarah joined our team in mid-2025. Born and raised in Oregon, she attended Chemeketa Community College before earning her Bachelor of Science degree in Interior Design from Oregon State University. Known for her strong work ethic, Sarah is a highly collaborative designer who brings positivity, clear communication, and thoughtful problem-solving to every project she works on with the team. Outside of work, Sarah is an avid competitor in both billiards pool and disc golf. She loves spending time outdoors and enjoys traveling, road trips, camping, paddleboarding, and, of course, any chance to be at the beach.

Our annual holiday celebration brought the Facet team together with friends and family at St. Innocent Wineryfor an evening of great company and seasonal cheer. The winery once again provided an exceptional setting, complete with wonderful food and wine.
