Did you know....
all fireplaces require a clearance to combustibles - wood trim, framing, sheetrock so there is not fire danger. We always recommend consulting the installation manual for the required clearance for your fireplace. We see more and more customers placing their tv above the fireplace, and we ALWAYS recommend some type of heat shield to protect the tv as...heat rises! If you do not have the clearance for a wood mantel, there are many great options for mantels; precast gypsum that can be painted or look like stone, concrete mantels made to look like wood or smooth finish or metal or glass mantels.
