Sometimes you just have to “seize the day”! After a year of missed adventures, disrupted plans, and an interrupted vacation I FINALLY got a day that was just “for me”. I have been horse crazy since I was introduced to Laddy, a giant, gentle palomino, who lived on my grandparent’s farm. My niece and her friend and I did a glorious” rent a horse” 3 hour trail ride through Cooks Forest in PA. It was a much needed day away. I have muscles hurting I forgot I had and I’d do it again in a heartbeat. The entire world and all its troubles and trials fade away when I ride and every fiber of my being “settles”. I hope each of you can carve a few hours to just…be. ❤️

Fudge Off, Sugar! wasn’t started because I woke up one day and thought, “You know what sounds relaxing? Starting a food business.” 😂

I’ve lost 240 pounds and kept it off for 15 years, live a low carb lifestyle and my oldest daughter has Type 1. So when I say I understand how frustrating it is to find treats that actually fit your lifestyle AND taste good, I mean it.

I got tired of “sugar-free” desserts tasting like dry little circles of disappointment. So we started making the kind of no-sugar-added, low-carb and keto-friendly cookies and fudge we actually wanted to eat.

Everything is made right here in our Massillon home kitchen, tested repeatedly and subjected to a slightly unreasonable amount of overthinking before we let anyone else taste it. 😂

This business is personal to us. It’s about proving that watching your sugar doesn’t mean dessert has to be boring.

Crazy good. No sugar added. 💕

More orders have and are shipping out this week. I will be working on the every day items as well as any Fall orders. I will start working through Christmas orders early October. Preorders for Christmas items are open. I will be offering limited amounts of Whoville items. The shop is all put in order FINALLY! That was a huge undertaking. Now to start working on orders and then finding time to start creating again. More Fall? Halloween? Christmas?? What are we thinking???

This weekend is dedicated some grandson time... they have been missing GG since I was at the woods the last three weekends. And organizing and cleaning the workshop. It totally looks like a post apocalyptic craft store all up in there. I am trying to make a ruthless assessment of what things need to stay and what needs to go to make better sense of the space available. I am a craft supply ju**ie and my tastes (and love of all things crafting) can be extremely eclectic so this is a much needed endeavor. Next week I will start working on preorders and hope to get some creating time in also.

We did a thing! When you have crates of little houses, a pickup truck, and capricious Ohio weather, the last thing you need is a load of soaked product from a sudden unexpected rainstorm. Been there! Done that! Hubby found this on marketplace very reasonable. Now I need a couple Hollow Tree signs for on it!

Shaker Woods was amazing. Our last day started off looking like it would be a bust sales-wise but we ended up selling 16 little houses that afternoon. I had quite a few of my fb followers come find me at the woods this year and that was soooo wonderful!! One of my favorite things is connecting with folks. Not gonna lie though, that event kicks my butt physically. I’m trying to regroup, work on orders, ship orders, get preorders for Fall and Christmas going, find my house and shop, and I got a pneumonia vaccine Tuesday. It’s ramping up the old immune system and making life extra, extra right now. I appreciate everyone and all the love of our little house madness!!
