Guys! We're really excited to announce that we're getting close to finishing the design on our latest project. Leather aprons! These will come in a few different sizes and will feature 3 pockets. Two on the bottom that will have snap closures, and one larger top pocket. The top will have built in pen holders (how many depends on the size of apron). They'll be made of 5oz Kodiak oil tanned leather for the perfect balance of weight and protection. Keep your eyes out for these!

Alright guys here's the deal. I've been asked a few times about how leather ages. Hopefully I'll be able to answer some questions. Natural veg tanned leather ages in an interesting way. It tends to take on a darker, richer color rather than fade as it is used and exposed to the elements. The first picture is a new piece of undyed, unfinished veg tanned leather. The second picture is also a piece of undyed veg tanned leather that was finished and has been stitched to my lucky hat for a few years. You can see how much this leather has changed in a few years of being in some pretty extreme climates and weather conditions. The third picture is my first iPad sleve that is about the same age as the hat patch. You can see that it's not quite as dark and that is because it mostly lives indoors. The last one is the very first wallet I made. The leather was already dyed brown, but you can see how the leather wears, takes a beating and just keeps on truckin'. So unfortunately I can't tell you exactly how your leather will patina or wear, but I can tell you that it will last for a long time!
