Good morning my woodworking friends. I know it has been a while since I posted but an awesome product is now being offered again and I wanted y’all to be the first ones to know about it.
I ran into a company a couple years ago that make a wearable filtration system very similar to those made by 3M and the like, but at a fraction of the cost.
The product is called the Breathie Thingy and is belt worn, true filtration. Nothing like the Airshield that was bulky, heavy and didn’t really filter anything. I think it might have been worse than wearing nothing as the filter would get caked with dust.
The Breathie Thingy uses a more common P3 replacement filter instead of something proprietary like the others. I am telling y’all this thing is worth the money. I have sanded for hours on a project and did not get the neck fatigue or sweaty head. On the contrary, the positive air face mask actually cooled me down.
