šŸŽƒHAPPY HALLOWEEN!šŸŽƒ

I wanted this year’s 2025 Halloween table to be a bit more on the lighthearted side of to holiday, so I designed a tablescape around one of my favorites, A Nightmare Before Christmas.

While most people would say that Jack is their favorite character, mine has always been Zero and I love the graveyard scene before Jack stumbles into Christmas Land so I created more of a whimsical cartoonish style tabletop to match the feel I was going for.

Now the big question is, do I keep it around through the end of the year and deck it with all things Christmas transforming it into something a bit more yule and cheerfulšŸŽ…šŸ»šŸŽ„or should I ditch the ghost dog and find new inspiration?

It’s time to Mardi Gras!

I know it’s been a while since I’ve posted anything by Wheeler Wreath Design but we have been a very busy family and sometimes the fun things have to take a backseat. However, I’ve been wanting to create a Mardi Gras themed tablescape for a while and hosting a dinner party the weekend before Mardi Gras makes for the perfect occasion! To be honest, the plans for the tablescape was all very last minute and happened to come together after ordering a delicious Kings Cake from local San Antonio business Double Sided Toffee (link in the comments). Everything else I had on hand and simply put it together.

Did you celebrate Mardi Gras this year?

šŸŽƒHAPPY HALLOWEEN!šŸŽƒ

Here is a little treat for the spookiest day of the year! May I present the 2024 Halloween Tablescape by Wheeler Wreath Design…

BEETLEJUICE!!!

This Tablescape has been the largest undertaking yet! The sandworm started off as some paper plates, a pool noodle and some masking tape but eventually shaped up to what you see here once I added some paper machete clay and paint. He was a labor of love and I can honestly say I do love how he turned out! I also created the green checkered table covering, the flower arrangements and the Handbook for the Recently Deceased place markers but my sandworm holds the spot as my favorite thing in this project for sure.

What is your favorite detail of this year’s Halloween tablescape?

Welcome Foolish Mortals to another spooky Halloween tablescape created by Wheeler Wreath Design. If you can’t already tell, this one was inspired by Disney’s Haunted Mansion which was last years theme for my table. While I didn’t physically construct any major piece of this project, gathering all the components was an undertaking all of its own.

If you have been on the ride or seen either of the movies then I’d love to hear if you can feel the grim grinning ghosts come out to socialize?

Be sure to hurry back to my page as I will soon reveal this years Halloween tablescape. Oh, and be sure to bring your death certificate… if you decide to join us. Make final arrangements now! We’ve been dying to have you…

šŸ•·ļøIt’s all a bunch of Hocus Pocus!šŸˆā€ā¬›

Halloween is one of my absolute most favorite holidays and I LOVE a beautiful tablescape so each year I set off to create a new Halloween themed table. Two years ago I put together this Hocus Pocus inspired montage which I think turned out perfectly. I made several things for this project but two of the bigger tasks were jazzing up a cheap plastic caldron and creating Winnie’s Book. To this day, Book is still one of my favorite project pieces! Not only was it fun to make but the words inside are not of spells but the novel of Hocus Pocus itself since I bought the published hardback for the transformation. Book is not simply a holiday decoration but also contains the the story of one Ol’ Hallows Eve when three witches came back to life to run amuck on Salem.

If your dining table could spontaneously be transformed into your favorite Halloween movie, what would it be?

Stay tuned to see more Halloween inspired decorations including this year’s table which I can’t wait to show off!

More simple spooky tips to decorate for Halloween…

Buy some plastic bat diecuts off Amazon and use painters tape to stick them on your walls, cabinets or basically anywhere else you might want to add a little Halloween fun. What is great is that they are reusable year after year so it is a cheap and great way to decorate for the season!

When you are at the grocery store grab white pumpkins of every size and shape. Pick-up a few packages of black creepy cloth, a couple of spooky creatures and a skeleton or two. Pile them up on your dining or kitchen table, throw in a few black taper candles and you are set for a beautiful but easy tablescape!
