The City's Office of Historic Preservation has a certification program for real estate agents, though anyone is welcome to join in.

The program includes three classes and one exam.

Classes:
1. City Resources & Processes
2. Property Research or Wood Windows 101
3. Preservation in Action: Historic & Design Review Commission

We'll start our next series on Wednesday, March 25. 10 am to 1 pm, with a break for lunch. Our first class shares information about city resources and processes for working on properties designated historic. Learn some basic guidelines, historic architecture, and how to submit an application.
$30. or $60 for those interested in CE credit. The class is virtual.

We've been quiet, because we've been busy! We’re currently restoring all of the windows in historic fire station #16. Built in 1921, it's one the few historic fire stations remaining in San Antonio. The new owners are turning it into their residence!

If you follow this page, you probably have an older house. Don’t miss the city’s 15th Annual Historic Homeowner Fair tomorrow (Sat) at the Convention Center from 10-2. It’s a great opportunity to connect with contractors who work on older homes. The city will have a lot of information about permitting, the historic designation process and more. Plus a tree giveaway and workshops. All free!

We’ll be there with a booth. Come talk to us about windows or just say hi!

We hope you'll join us for today's open house!

This grand old house in Monte Vista has 30 windows! Here, we're prepping the frames to get them ready to reinstall the sashes.

While this client is doing a complete remodel, restoring all your windows in one go can seem overwhelming (financially and otherwise). Many of our clients choose to do a few at a time in phases. We're happy to accommodate your timeline.

For anyone curious about lead paint/dust while we work in your home, all of our tools (even our hand scrapers) are attached to a HEPA vacuum to keep contamination to a minimum.
