Creating custom items is a process. One that starts with communication and expectations for both myself and the purchaser.

I collaborated with the buyer on what they wanted, their vision, and deadline. Together we came up with this design and along the way added details like the hidden "❤️ Mom" tag. It's embroidered with glow in the dark thread so no matter where he goes he'll carry her light and love.

Everybody's journey starts somewhere. I learned to sew in high school taking a beginner class. In 2018 I was 1 year away from finishing my Bachelor's and knew I needed something else to fill my time, so I picked up sewing after a decade of rarely touching my machine.

It all started with this tiny lap quilt I made for my grandma. Since then, I have my own sewing room, I've grown my fabric collection, David had custom shelves put in, and more machines than my heart could desire. I'm extremely blessed in so many ways ❤️

Finished 2 quilt tops this weekend. Very different styles. One is very feminine with florals and pastels, whereas the other is more masculine with the bolder bright colors and distinct patterned fabric. Each were fun to make. The floral quilt is currently under the needle for quilting.

This has got to be one of my favorite projects by far. It started off as a drawing over a decade ago and into a digital design. I finally took the time to sit down and digitize an updated version of it. The first one I stitched I messed up, but I learned and here is the outcome 😍

What happens to my embroidery when I mess up you ask?

I try to salvage the project by removing the stitches and then re-embroider the parts removed. In this case you hear the moment I rip a hole in the shirt. I didn't catch the error until removing more of the stitches.

Finally sat down and digitized this design. Years ago I made an image with this saying with opaque EGA's in the background and it has always been a favorite creation of mine. I decided to use the bloodstripe as the coloring for the text. Photos to come when it's finished.
