Weekly Check-In = Sunday Kitchen Island Decor Stills 📸🖼 Shoutout to my hubby for making the cuteeat snail toothpick holder. He made it in school many, many, many years ago! 🤣

What a long. long. week. Today we have perfect Sunday weather. Chilly, rainy, and gloomy! It's so nice to putt putt around the house! My goal today is to clean my closet and get rid of a lot of clothes and shoes that I haven't worn this year. Remember when Marie Kondo was a craze, well, today I'm Marie Kondoing my closet 🤭 I'm going to tun on The Gilmore Girls and get to it!

A little bit of peace on this Sunday! ❤️

We have Spring Break coming up in two weeks and this gal doesn't have any large home inprovement projects planned. I think that's a first!

I do need to do some yucky adult stuff, like a dental appointment, oil change, and cleaning up the gardens.

🎄My favorite tree is this tree right here, it holds almost 30 years of memories! Each year each we all purchase a new ornament. Sometimes the ornament we choose reflects the year we had, travels, or spur of the moment ornaments because they're cute. This year we found our ornaments in a Christmas store while vacationing in Ruidoso, NM. We purchased handmade clay ornaments from local Native American artists. ❤️

🎄😍 To jump or not?! I am so thankful I finally jumped on purchasing these beautiful sconces. They definitely helped me bring my vision of a simply traditional Christmas mantle to life.

❄️ This year's mantle is definitely one that I can leave up through January! I'm going to remove the pops of red and add some sage green and taupe ribbon. ❄️

How long do you plan on keeping your holiday decor up? I'm going to try so hard to keep it up through January. Usually I cave in and take it down within the first week of January. This year flew by, why not embrace holiday cheer for a bit longer!

🕊Peace. ❤️Calm. ⛪️Joy. The feelings of this season!

Past seasons I have ran myself into the ground trying to keep up with the "social holiday norms". You know, making sure every little detail is perfect, too much shopping, cooking way too much, over extending myself by saying yes to everything, and I mean EVERYTHING!

This season is different, I'm relaxed, calm, and have a peace that I've never experienced during the Christmas season.

I've FINALLY come to the realization that it's okay to slow down, perfectly imperfect is 100% acceptable, and it's okay to politely decline when I know I don't have time or energy. TRY IT - it's extremely empowering!

Cheers to a peaceful, slow, and calm season to everyone who needs it!

🎄I'm so happy that I jumped on the chain garland trend. How fun is this plaid chain garland!

It took me about an hour to make enough garland for the stunning tree. I used 80' of ribbon, each chain is 11" long. is having an amazing sale on ribbon!

I cannot wait to show y'all how I used the same ribbon on another tree.

I'm OBSESSED with the tartan plaid, it's the perfect plaid for my traditional Christmas look I'm going for this year!

🌲 I don't think I've seen a prettier, more realistic looking Christmas tree than this beauty from ! Simply stunning!

This tree definitely doesn't need shiny sparkles or bling to be the star of the show - it's beautiful right out of the box!

I had this tree decorated for Fall but am taking a little time to transition this beauty to Christmas. I'm torn on the style I want to go for....
