These chairs lived rent-free in my brain for YEARS.

Like I saw them long before I ever had a house and said, “one day… those will be mine.” Fast forward to finally getting my first home and I knew exactly what needed to happen 😌

Two wooden chairs + a loveseat, made for slow mornings with coffee in hand while Leo and I listen to the birds chirping ☕️🌿
Quiet evenings with a bonfire and stargazing ✨

And—in case of tornado—these babies will most likely still be here because of how heavy they are… so at least I’ll have seating to watch one of my favorite forms of Midwestern entertainment 😌🌪️

And can we talk about THE CUSHIONS?!?

Green. Perfect shade. DID NOT break the bank (we love a budget win). Proof you don’t need to spend a million dollars to get the vibe you want.

This setup is officially my morning coffee seat, my scroll-a-little-too-long seat, and my “just one more NYT Mini Crossword” seat.

Some projects are years in the making… and those ones just hit different 🤍

FYI, when they tell you to wear safety glasses for a project… wear. the. safety. glasses.

Because why did a dowel rod try to take me out during this project??? Like excuse me sir, I thought we were on the same team.

This project quickly turned into Cloudy With a Chance of Meatballs—except instead of food falling from the sky it was WOOD SHARDS launching themselves directly at my face. 0/10 experience. Would not recommend. Have you ever seen wood FLY?? I hadn’t either. Terrifying. Traumatizing. Character building.

Was it worth almost losing my eyeball (which I’m very attached to)? Yes.�Would I do it again? Obviously.�Would I maybe wear safety glasses BEFORE almost losing said eyeball next time? Growth ✨

ANYWAYYYY—can we talk about this dresser?!?!
�And the MATCHING nightstands too because if I’m doing one piece I’m doing the WHOLE SET 😌

And this sage green?!?! muah chef’s kiss.�Custom mixed because paint cards are LIARS and this color needed a TON of love and approximately 37 scoops of white to become ✨this✨.

Do you ever find the perfect piece online… until the price tag snatches your soul? SAME. 😭 So I built my own!

I wanted a minimal but bold all-wood bed frame + headboard, and this ended up being the first big piece of furniture I’ve ever made. First time using a miter saw, first time making pocket holes, first time doing basically everything — and I somehow pulled it off.

Finishing this was the best “holy crap I DID that” moment ever. This is the first project of many for our rebrand as Paw and Grain, and I couldn’t be more excited. 🛠️✨

🐾✨ New Name, Same Heart — Welcome to Paw and Grain! ✨🐾

Helllooooo!! It’s been a while!

After a lot of thought (and plenty of important consultations with Leo 🐶), we decided it was time for a change — something that truly reflects who we are and what we love to create.

So, goodbye Let’s Eat Olives (L.E.O), and hello to Paw and Grain! 🐾

Let me reintroduce us!�
I’m Abi — yes, A-B-I, just three letters but a whole lot of creativity packed in there 😄 I’m 26, currently based in Texas but proudly Midwest at heart. Creating something out of nothing has always been my thing, I’ve been crafting my ideas to life since I was younger. It’s my happy place and I’m constantly exploring new projects, techniques, and materials. I love diving into different crafts to learn, experiment, and grow — there’s always something new to make!

And the handsome pup you see? That’s Leo — my sidekick, project supervisor, and the biggest inspiration behind this brand. I adopted him back in 2019 while I was in college, and he’s been my best gift ever since. His favorite game is “race” (he wins every time unless I cheat with a head start), and he’s never short on kisses or cuddles. If you know me, you know Leo is my world — so of course he’s part of the new logo and the heart of Paw and Grain.

This page is going to be a little less formal and a lot more us — a space to share all the things I make, whether it’s wood, resin, macrame, or something totally new. Thanks for being here through the changes and growth — we can’t wait to show you what’s next!

I though about this as I was making some hat hangers this month. There is always a plan, always. Even if you are not where you thought you would be right now on your life, you are still here. Good or bad you still woke up this morning and got to breathe another breath of fresh air. Trust. Believe. And have faith. You got this. Don’t forget that.

Taking time to yourself is vital.

1 Peter 5:6-7 says, “Humble yourselves, therefore, under God's mighty hand, that He may lift you up in due time. Cast all your anxiety on Him because He cares for you.”

Remember that through every stress, anxiety, worry, or doubt, that God will be there for you always. Walking alongside you, waiting your you to remember He’s there.
