Some of you don’t need a new sofa.

You need to stop being scared of pillows.

There, I said it.

Because the way some of these sofas are sitting with one sad little pillow in the corner… the room feels unfinished before you even walk all the way in.

Pillows are not just accessories you throw on at the end because the couch looked empty.

They create warmth. Depth. Contrast. Balance.

They help a space feel lived in instead of staged for a furniture showroom.

And no, adding more pillows is not “too much” when they’re chosen correctly.

The problem is people keep buying pillows with no thought behind them. No layering. No scale. No texture. No intention.

Just grabbing whatever came in the zipper bag with the sofa and calling it done.

Meanwhile the room still feels flat.

A good pillow combination can completely shift the personality of a space without replacing a single piece of furniture.

And don’t even get me started on decorating with the pillows that came with the sofa…

The real question is…

I’ve been asked a few times how I go about selecting fabrics for our collections.

Honestly, I have to experience the textile in person. I touch it, study the texture, look at the movement, the weight, the weave… even the feeling it gives when I first see it laid out in front of me.

I’m naturally drawn to fabrics that feel versatile and timeless. Pieces that can stand beautifully on their own, but also pair well with others without competing for attention.

I pay close attention to how a pattern or texture can work across different styles, seasons, and spaces because I want our pillows to feel like pieces you can continue styling over time — not something that feels temporary.

Some textiles immediately tell a quieter story, while others make more of a statement. I love the balance of both.

Selecting fabrics has always been one of my favorite parts of the process because it’s very instinctive for me. I’ve always had an eye for textiles and how certain combinations can completely change the feeling of a space.chance?

Over the last couple of months, we’ve shared quite a few new pillow designs, but I wanted to finally show many of them together in one place.

Seeing the colors, textures, florals, patterns, and details side by side really reminds me how much pillows can completely change the feeling of a space.

Some designs make a statement instantly, while others quietly soften and balance a room. That mix is what I love most when styling a home.

Last night’s virtual mixer hosted by was such a beautiful reminder that art tells stories long before words ever do.

We had the opportunity to learn from a Black Art Advisor who shared not only how she began collecting Black art, but also how she helps others source pieces that speak to them personally. She gave us pointers on where to begin, what to look for, and how collecting can become a meaningful part of creating a home filled with story, culture, and intention.

Honestly, my eyes were opened and my ears were completely intrigued listening to her journey and expertise. It definitely made me want to dip my toe a little deeper into the world of Black art collecting.

One of the things I loved most was realizing how closely art and interiors work together.

I was also invited to share how throw pillows and textiles help support artwork within a room — carrying color, texture, mood, and emotion throughout a space.

Because sometimes it’s not just the art itself that transforms a room… it’s how the entire room responds to it.

And to end the evening, we held a special giveaway for this beauty here. Since she hadn’t officially been named yet, attendees helped bring her identity to life.

One thing I’ve noticed over the years?
