Final Day: The island replacement is complete!!!! It’s been Seven Whole Days. I did notice where the painter needs to come back and touch up a few areas, but overall we’re satisfied.

I guess we’ll be eating dinner at home tonight!!

Day 4: We’re almost there. Island cabinets have been painted and hardware installed. The cabinets need time to cure before the countertop and sink are added back. Hopefully all of this will be complete before the weekend is over.

I selected SW Black Umber as my paint color and I’m in love!!! Whoever thought cabinets could look sexy, lol!!!

Day 3: The island cabinets have been primed and prepped for painting. This will be a two day process. The first coat of paint is being applied today. Second coat on tomorrow. As you can see, my kitchen is “out of order” until further notice, lol!!

Hey PLT Family,

I’ve been a little slow sharing fall decor inspiration lately, and here’s why! We discovered a major leak under our kitchen island sink, and it turned into quite the project. The entire island has to be replaced (thank God for home warranties 🙌🏽).

After waiting four weeks for the new cabinets to be remade, the process finally started today. Since the island has to be repainted, I’m actually considering a different color this time, Maybe something that brings even more warmth into the kitchen.

Stay tuned and I’ll share my chosen color and, of course, the final reveal once the countertops and painting are complete! 🤎✨

This console sits in a room with 20ft ceilings, so scale matters. When styling in a space this tall, you want to anchor the eye with height, texture, and layers without overwhelming the area.

But here’s the good news: everything I used here was already in my home.

✔️ Layered Artwork – Instead of removing my everyday piece, I added a bold leopard print in front. It adds dimension and personality.
✔️ Tall Faux Florals – These mustard stems bring in seasonal color and height to complement the scale of the wall.
✔️ Metallic Accents – Year-round silver vases and a mercury pumpkin feel fresh again when styled with velvet textures and natural elements.
✔️ Fall Bowl Moment – A wavy bowl filled with velvet pumpkins, pinecones, and rich fall tones—simple, soft, and high impact.
✔️ Candle Clusters – Tapered candles on one side and a deep burgundy candle under glass on the other give balance and glow.
