🍂 It's Finished Object Friday, and I finished her just in time!! 🎉

🍂 She'll be a cute addition to my crochet pumpkin patch. She was easy & fun to stitch up, but the lining I used on the back of the squares to keep the white stuffing from poking out the holes didn't have any stretch, so we argued for a while if she would be a boxy pumpkin instead of curvy, and I'm not sure who won. I have a much better strategy in mind if I make her again!

🧶I suspect that owning a craft business isn't going to make me independently wealthy and allow me to travel the world. But that's not why I'm doing it!

🧶I love to crochet (and really, lots of other crafts). Waving my hook and turning string into things is incredibly satisfying, not to mention anxiety-reducing! Teaching others how to do it, and sharing my makes and beliefs here, makes me happy.

🧶My life and career has been spent teaching others what I love 📖- I don't want to stop that now that I'm retired!

🧶So yes, I DO have a (substantial) yarn stash. But it IS my "hope reserve" - I have a lot of hope that I can help others appreciate and enjoy creative work!

💖Back to school = back to crochet - if you're retired, that is! 😜

💖Of course, speaking as a crochet teacher, I feel like I now have the best of both worlds. I'll never lose that "back to school" feeling in August, so starting another teaching adventure is exciting!

💖Whether you're a teacher, a mom, or anyone else who lives life according to the school year, best wishes for new experiences and good learning ahead.

☀️I know, "FO Friday" sounds like... a really rude insult. But it's not THAT! It means Finished Object in the craft world and maybe elsewhere 🤷‍♀️

☀️I made these cute sunshiney drink coasters months ago, dreaming of summer, and now here we are with summer half gone. So... here they (finally) are!

☀️This was an interesting & rewarding make. It took me a hot minute to get those sunray tips right, but it's such a cute detail. These are 100% cotton, so they soak up the drips from theglass, and I added a little sparkly gold thread around the edges for a little extra shine - without affecting the absorbency.
